High Yield And Stable Yield Evaluation Of 40 Maize Varieties In Jilin Province

As good variety is extremely critical to increase agricultural production,it is very important to select good variety.Varieties of good maize are created by natural selection,artificial selection and artificial breeding under certain ecological conditions and in the long-term cultivation process.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)The basic statistics of yield characters showed that the average yield of three sites from high to low was Yushu city,Shuangyang district and Changling county.The average yield in Yushu site was the best,and the differentiation ability of species in Shuangyang site was superior.The yield of different maize varieties varied little in Changling county and greatly in Yushu city.(2)The coefficient of variation of 40 maize varieties in Yushu city,Shuangyang district and Changling county was respectively 7.56%,8.03% and 9.15%,which were less than 10%.Liangyu66,Jidi816 and Nonghua101 had the highest yield in Yushu city,Shuangyang district and Changling county.The average yield in the 3 sites from high to low were Hengdan188,Nonghua101,Jidi816 and Liangke1008.(3)Performance of the species × site interaction effect from high to low was Yushu city,Shuangyang district and Changling county.Average yield and site interaction effect of Hengdan188,Nonghua101 and Jidi816 were strong,and these varieties were superior.(4)According to results of comprehensive evaluation of the yield and stability of all these varieties,Hengdan188,Jidi816 were the best,and Jinhua150,Zeyu8911,Jinyuan15,Xiangyu998,Nonghua205,Heyu9,Xiangyu211,Hengyu218 were good,while Xianyu1225,Yidan31,Hengda366,Zeyu501,Yidan31,Suiyu95 were worse.(5)The results of correlation analysis of yield and moisture content showed that Jinyuan5,Jinhua150 and Liangke1008 in Yushu city,Jidi816,Liangke1008 and Nonghua101 in Shuangyang district,and Jinyuan5,Zeyu8911,Jinongda988 in Changling county were superior.The results of correlation analysis of yield and moisture content showed that Jidi816,Liangke1008 and Jinhua150 were superior.(6)According to the results of correlation analysis of yield and stability,and that of yield and moisture content,Jidi816,Jinhua150,Zeyu8911,Jinyuan15,Xiangyu211,Nonghua205 were superior,and the hybrid variety of Hengdan188,Liangyu66,Nonghua101 and Heyu9 had higher yield,but higher moisture content,which could be selected as appropriate.
