Study On Present Situation And Countermeasures Of Maize Production In Hancheng,Shaanxi,China

As an important cereal in the world,maize has the highest total yield in all kinds of grain,It has become a variety of crops including grain,feed,energy and so on.Corn and wheat and rice are the three staple food crops together in China,and the planting area and total yield are in the first place in grain production.Maize is one of the most important food crops in Shaanxi Province.In recent years,the provincial government attaches great importance to the upgrading of the agricultural industry,insists on use the industrialization experience to develop the agricultural industry,use the market-oriented mode to manage agriculture,and accelerate the rapid development of grain production and animal husbandry.In the development of agriculture in Hancheng city,maize is still an important crop of diversification in grain and economy and feed.In order to clarify the present situation and future development direction of maize production in Hancheng city,through literature review,production trials,symposiums and other forms,the research on the problem of maize production status in Hancheng City was carried out,and the feasible countermeasures were put forward,important results as following:1.Current situation of maize production:(1)The planting area of maize is stable and the commodity rate is high.At present,the planting area of maize in Hancheng city is about 8500 ha,accounting for 29% of the total cultivated area of the city.In recent years,the total annual yield of maize in Hancheng city is about 39900 tons,and the commodity rate of maize is over 90%.(2)Maize is widely distributed,mainly summer maize.Summer maize is planted in 8 towns in Hancheng city from south to north.Spring maize accounted for 9.7% of the city's maize area,summer maize accounted for 90.0% of the city's maize area.(3)Variety diversification concentrated on high yield and good quality.At present,the main maize cultivars in Hancheng city are Yuyu 22?Zhongke 4?Jundan 20?Shandan 8806? Liyu 16 and Zhengdan 958 and so on,Jundan 20 and Yuyu 22 have the largest sowing area.2.The following problems exist in maize production in Hancheng: The slow introduction of new varieties,the unmatching of improved varieties and improved methods,the low degree of mechanization,the extensive field management,the backward production and operation mode,and the high planting cost.3.Feasibility countermeasures for the development of the corn industry in Hancheng: to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of farmers in grain production;to speed up the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure;to promote the transformation from the dual structure of "grain economy" to the triple structure of "grain economy and feed";to promote the whole mechanized production technology of dense planting and high yield;to strengthen publicity and training and cultivate new farmers' technical backbone;to promote the development of animal husbandry and promote the development of corn industry;to build Set up the "Internet plus" gold industry platform.To sum up,the corn industry has great potential.On the basis of making good use of the existing conditions,if we can focus on the structural adjustment of the agricultural industry,mobilize farmers' enthusiasm for production,promote the full-scale mechanized production technology of corn,and strengthen the publicity and training of improved varieties and methods At the same time,we must overcome the problems of slow introduction and promotion of new varieties,inadequate varieties and methods,low level of mechanization,extensive field management,and backward production and operation methods.Only in this way can we achieve structural reform on the supply side of corn and enable the corn industry in Hancheng to rise to a new height.
