Common Vimladiria Root,is a traditional Chinese herb medicine,in the pharmacopoeia belongs to the composite family,is the root of Aucklandia lappa Decne,as a kind of bulk medicinal commodities. In this study, different exogenous AMF was selected to individual inoculation test and mixed inoculation test on the seedlings of Aucklandia lappa, under the condition of culture at room temperature. To investigate the rootcolonization rate, photosynthetic pigment, physiological and biochemical parameter, growth indexes, root yield and chemical composition in the seedling of Aucklandia lappa inoculated by 27 exogenous AMF species. It provides a theoretical basis for the cultivation of Aucklandia lappa.1.Effects of different AMF inoculations on yield and chemical composition of Aucklandia lappa seedlings.1.1.After inoculated with exogenous AMF,the roots were infected and a kind of mutual beneficial association was formed. However, the degree of association between AMF and Aucklandia lappa was different, indicating that AMF was selective to Aucklandia lappa.1.2.After inoculation with AMF,the effect on the growth index of Aucklandia lappa seedlings was not obvious. However, the effects of AMF on photosynthetic pigment, physiological and biochemical parameter of the leaves of host were different.Part of AMF can promote photosynthetic efficiency of Aucklandia lappa seedlings, which is beneficial to plant growth.1.3.The effects of different exogenous AMF on fresh weight, dry weight and dry index of Aucklandia lappa seedlings were different, some of significantly affect.Scutellospora calospora(Sca),Dentiscutata heterogama(Dh),Racocetra coralloidea(Rco)and Septoglomus deserticola(Sde)can remarkably augment the root dry weight. At the same time,Sca,Rco and Sde can significantly increase the production of secondary metabolites,so as to improve the quality of Aucklandia lappa. From the comprehensive effect of inoculation,Sca,Rco and Sde can improve the yield and quality of Aucklandia lappa, they are a potential good strain for artificial inoculation of Aucklandia lappa seedlings.2.Effects of yield and chemical composition of Aucklandia lappa seedlings mixed treatment by different AMF.2.1 The Aucklandia lappa seedlings were inoculated with mixed AMF,all root systems were inoculated, and the colonization rate was up to100%,which was much higher than that of any inoculated with AMFalone. The results indicated that the AMF showed obvious synergistic effect on the colonization of Aucklandia lappa.2.2.After the AMF mixed treatment, the content of photosynthetic pigment in the leaves of the Aucklandia lappa seedlings was significantly increased, and the growth index of the Aucklandia lappa seedlings was also significantly improved. The results showed that AMF mixed inoculation improved the light trapping ability of leaves of Aucklandia lappa seedlings and had a strong synergistic effect on growth indexes. However, the effects on photosynthetic parameters and protective enzymes were different.2.3.The effects of AMF mixed treatment on root biomass of Aucklandia lappa seedlings were different.Four groups(66.7%)significantly increased the dry weight of Aucklandia lappa. However, the content of costuslactone in all groups was significantly increased, and the increase was more than that of AMF inoculation alone. The results showed that AMF mixed inoculation also produced synergistic effect on costuslactone in roots. In conclusion, inoculation with mixed AMF could improve the yield and quality of Aucklandia lappa seedlings.Artificial inoculation of AMF can open up a new way to improve the yield and quality of Aucklandia lappa.
