Nature reserves are the richest areas in biodiversity and have preserved relatively intact ecosystems. In recent years,as a result of rapid economic and social development and excessive interference by human activities, regional biodiversity has faced increasingly serious threats. The allocation of limited conservation resources to the most deserving areas at the lowest cost is an effective way to achieve biodiversity conservation.Jiangxi Province is one of the richest provinces in biodiversity, with many types of protected areas, including forest ecology, wetlands, wildlife and plants.A total of54 sites. This paper uses 38 forest ecosystem type nature reserves in Jiangxi Province as the study area, first based on the 2018 land use/covering Data, using the InVEST model, selected urban and rural settlements, arable land, national and provincial roads, county roads, railroads, and Highways as well as rural roads were used as threat factors to simulate the habitat quality of the nature reserve;secondly,45 rare and exotic species were combined into the nature reserve.endangered wild protected plants as representative species of protected areas, using the MaxEnt model to predict the potential distribution areas of the species. The richness distribution pattern of 45 species in the province was obtained. Finally,on the basis of two model simulations,a comprehensive analysis of habitat quality and species richness patterns, combined with the screening of existing nature reserves, was carried out.Obtain optimal habitat areas and priority protected areas for habitat optimization, analyze habitat spatial prioritization for conservation and optimize habitat for nature reserves To provide a scientific and effective basis for evaluation. The main findings of the study are as follows.(1)In 2018,the habitat condition of the province's forest ecosystem-type nature reserves was good, and the reserves were less affected by man.According to the habitat degradation index, the overall level of habitat degradation of nature reserves in Jiangxi Province is low,and the possibility of habitat degradation is low,in which Habitat degradation levels in 36 protected areas out of 38 protected forest ecosystem type nature reserves at or above the provincial level are essentially non-degraded and only Habitat degradation in these two protected areas,Southern Redwoods and Fuyuan,is mildly degraded;in terms of the habitat quality index,Jiangxi Province.Habitat quality of nature reserves is high overall, with 29 nature reserves having excellent habitat quality ratings and 6 nature reserves The habitat quality rating is good and the habitat quality rating of one nature reserve is fair.(2)There is a 50 per cent "low" species richness rating for 45 rare and endangered wild plants as representative species of protected areas.Species richness needs to be improved.Six of the protected areas have species richness levels in the high range,as a result of the integration of potential range thresholds.14 protected areas have a medium species richness rating and 18 protected areas have a low species richness rating.(3)Combining the two model simulations, seven biodiversity comprehensive evaluation grades were finally obtained, and 13 nature reserves with "excellent" habitat evaluation grade and "high" species richness grade were regarded as the best habitat areas;one nature reserve with "high" species richness grade and "average" habitat evaluation grade was regarded as a key reserve for habitat optimization, and should be given high attention and priority protection. This study quantitatively analyzes the effectiveness of biodiversity protection from biological and geographic perspectives, combining the actual situation of protected areas on the basis of model simulation, and the results can provide a scientific basis for priority protection planning and biodiversity protection of forest ecosystem nature reserves in Jiangxi Province at provincial level and above.
