In order to clarify the optimal balance between the planting density of the corn harvester and the amount of nitrogen applied, and provide guidance for farmers to fertilize reasonably, increase yield and increase efficiency. This experiment explored the interaction of nitrogen application rate(N8,N12,N16)and density(M4,M5,M6)on the growth and development, dry matter accumulation, yield and economic benefits, nitrogen utilization and grain quality of corn harvested by the grain Impact. The main results are as follows:(1)Nitrogen application rate, density and nitrogen density interaction have certain effects on plant height, ear position, stem thickness, ear position coefficient, and leaf area index(LAI).The comprehensive performance of N16M4,N12M4,and N12M5(tall plant height, small panicle position and panicle position coefficients, stalk sturdyness, and stem characteristics)under nitrogen-tight interaction was better.(2)The amount and density of nitrogen application and the interaction of nitrogen density have certain effects on the dry matter accumulation of individual plants and groups in each period of the growth period. The two-year experiment showed that the comprehensive performance of N8M6,N12M4,and N12M5(highear share, high dry matter accumulation after flowering, high transfer rate, and high contribution rate)under nitrogen-tight interaction was good.(3)The effects of nitrogen application rate, density and nitrogen density on yield are not significant, but reducing nitrogen and increasing density can increase corn yield. The highest yield treatment is N8M5,followed by N12M6 and N12M5.The output of each treatment is higher than the farmers' customary planting method(N16M4).Combined with the evaluation of economic benefits, the best planting method is N12M6.Other recommended planting methods are N8M5,N8M4,N12M4,N12M5.(4)The amount and density of nitrogen application and the interaction of nitrogen density have certain effects on the nitrogen accumulation of individual plants and groups.Comprehensively considering the absorption and utilization of nitrogen by corn plants, the recommended planting methods are N12M5,N8M6,N8M4,N12M6 and N8M5.(5)The effect of nitrogen application rate, density and nitrogen density on grain quality is not significant. However, the amount of nitrogen applied was positively correlated with starch content and negatively correlated with fat, protein and fiber content;density was positively correlated with starch and fat content and negatively correlated with protein and fiber content.Nitrogen density interaction is greatly affected by the amount of nitrogen applied. In summary, the corn harvester harvested in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia is best planted under N12M6,followed by N8M5 and N12M5.
