Because of the large number of farmers in sugarcane planting in China,the area of sugarcane planting land is small,the farmers are scattered,and 60% of the planting areas are concentrated in hilly areas.The development of mechanization of sugarcane industry in China is greatly restricted by the short gap between fields and ridges.Therefore,it is necessary to design a harvesting system to improve harvesting efficiency and yield.Generally speaking,the main methods of sugarcane production,sugar cane planting and transportation are small-sized,full-culm sugarcane harvesting machinery,while large-scale cutting sugarcane harvesting method is not suitable for sugarcane planting and harvesting environment in China.Thus,the development of small full-culm sugarcane harvester is still a main trend and development direction of sugarcane mechanization in China.At present,the main operating procedures of the small whole cane harvester include cane support,cutting table,feeding,leaf-stripping,power,control,cane collection and so on.The leaf-stripping system is an important part of the harvesting machine.The traditional sugarcane harvester is to fix the leaf-stripping elements on the leaf-stripping roller,and to use the centrifugal force impact produced by the high-speed rotation of the leaf-stripping roller to repeatedly "beat" the sugarcane leaves.In order to achieve the purpose of peeling off sugarcane leaves,sugarcane leaves and stalks were peeled off.However,the process only depends on the single leaf-stripping operation to complete the leaf-stripping task,and because of the restriction of the mechanism of leaf-stripping and the selection of leaf-stripping materials,the efficiency of the whole sugarcane leaf-stripping is not optimal.In this paper,a virtual prototype model of sugarcane harvester leaf stripping system is established by using 3D design software Pro/E to design an operating system to improve the efficiency and stability of sugar extraction.And the simulation experiments of the parameters optimization of the key blade shredding mechanism were carried out by importing the multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS.The simulation and physical prototype experiments show that the residual sugarcane leaves can be cleaned up by the first stage feeding mechanism and the third auxiliary leaf-stripping mechanism under the condition that the first stage feeding mechanism guarantees a certain initial working speed of sugarcane and the third stage auxiliary leaf-stripping mechanism.When the blade shredding mechanism has a rotating speed of 750 r/min,a depth of 10 cm and an angle of 30 °,the blade stripping system can meet the design requirements and efficiently complete the stripping work.
