The growth status of seedlings determines the landscaping effect.There are many factors affecting growth and development of seedlings,and environmental condition of soil is one of important influence factors.Moisture,organic matter and various nutrient elements in the soil can provide nutrients for root growth of seedlings and promote the growth of seedlings.The survival rate and growth of many seedlings are weak,the physical and chemical properties of soil is related to growth characteristic nonconformity of seedlings.Therefore,it is necessary to explore whether the soil is applicable to the growth and development of seedlings using scientific methods.Four roads including East Ring Road,North Ring Road,Airport Road and Meiyuan Road were selected as the locations of soil sampling in the research experiment.Meanwhile,four seedlings including Cinnamomum camphora,michelia chapensis,Celtis julianae Schneid and slash pine planted on these four roads were selected as the seedling samples in the determination test.The determination test was carried out according to standards for determination of physical and chemical properties of soil stipulated in Agriculture Industry Criterion of People's Republic of China NY/T889-2007,and the moisture in the soil was determined by weighing after drying in the oven;the pH value of soil was determined using acidimeter;the organic matter of soil was determined by using potassium dichromate volumetric method,and the soil alkali-hydrolyzable nitrogen was determined through alkaline hydrolytic diffusion method.The available phosphate and rapidly available potassium in the soil were determined by means of 0.5mol/L NaHCO3 solution and 1mol/L neutral NH4OAc?pH=7?solution.The research result indicates:for East Ring Road,pH value is 5.6,organic matter content is 37.6g/kg,alkali-hydrolyzale nitrogen is132.98mg/kg,available phosphate is 8.71 mg/kg and rapidly available potassium is 67.97mg/kg;for North Ring Road,pH value is 5.5,organic matter content is 35.4g/kg,alkali0hydrolyzale nitrogen is 130.59 mg/kg,available phosphate is 8.18mg/kg and rapidly available potassium is 64.31mg/kg;for Airport Road,pH value is 6,organic matter content is 25.9g/kg,alkali0hydrolyzale nitrogen is 116.54mg/kg,available phosphate is7.62mg/kg and rapidly available potassium is 48.66mg/kg;for Meiyuan Road,pH value is 6.1,organic matter content is 25.8g/kg,alkali0hydrolyzale nitrogen is 117.80mg/kg,available phosphate is6.75mg/kg and rapidly available potassium is 58.99 mg/kg.The soils of East Ring Road and North Ring Road show faint acidity,and the soils of Airport Road and Meiyuan Road show faint acidity to neutrality.According to National Soil Nutrient Content Grading Table,the organic matter contents and alkali-hydrolyzale nitrogen in soils of East Ring Road and North Ring Road belong to Grade 2“rich”,and the soils of Airport Road and Meiyuan Road belong to Grade 3“above the average”.However,available phosphate and rapidly available potassium in the soils of East Ring Road and North Ring Road belong to Grade 4“below the average”,the available phosphate content in the soils of Airport Road and Meiyuan Road belongs to Grade 4“below the average”,and the rapidly available potassium content in the soil of Airport Road belongs to Grade 5“lack”.The survival rate of Cinnamomum camphora is relatively higher,above 90%universally.Comparatively speaking,the survival rate of michelia chapensis is good,about 80%,a small quantity of which can be planted.The survival rate of Celtis julianae Schneid is general and a small quantity of them can be planted after the soil environment is improved.The survival rate of slash pine is relatively lower,below 50%,which was unsuitable for planting.The growth situation of four seedlings were analyzed from the DBH?diameter at breast height?,height of tree,and crown breadth of seedlings.The growth situation of michelia chapensis and Celtis julianae Schneid is unobvious.DBH,height of tree and crown breadth of seedlings of slash pine didn't grow.According to the above research results,it is known,the soil environment of Anji is suitable for the growth of Cinnamomum camphora,relatively suitable for the growth of michelia chapensis and Celtis julianae Schneid,and the slash pine is unsuitable for the existing soil condition.The soil environment suitable for growth can be built through improving the soil.Mastering physical and chemical properties of soil and the growth information of seedlings correctly,and studying the interplay of them can enhance the urban greening construction quality.The research provides scientific theoretical basis for determining seedling variety appropriate for growth locally.
