Pieris canidia belongs to Lepidoptera,Pieridae,Pieris, and is widely distributed in China. Its larvae are commonly known as cabbage caterpillars, and host many plant species including cruciferous vegetables, such as brassica, cabbage, and green vegetables.Cabbage worms cannibalize leaves and affect plant growth.Vulnerable plants are susceptible to infection by pathogens, causing severe yield losses in cruciferous vegetables and having a great impact on agricultural production. At present, many problems such as the increase in pest resistance, the deterioration of the ecological environment, the killing of natural enemies, and the impact of pesticide residues on human health caused by the chemical control methods used for cabbage caterpillars are increasingly prominent. Therefore, the research and development of biological control technologies for agricultural pests that have the advantages of not polluting the environment and maintaining natural ecological balance, including the use of parasitic bees and natural enemies of fungi, and biological pesticides, have become a research hotspot in the production of green and pollution-free vegetables. There are various bacterial groups in the intestine of Pieris canidia, and their biological functions, distribution in the body, changes with the developmental stage of Oriental cabbage white butterfly, and the diversity in different genders of Oriental cabbage white butterfly have not been studied. Therefore,in this paper, the cabbage white butterfly was taken as the object to study the intestinal endophyte flora, grasp the community composition and diversity information of its intestinal flora and find out the dominant flora, and then observe the antibiotics to remove the dominant flora Its suitability status, and then explore the relative role of intestinal dominant flora on host insects. The main results are as follows:(1)There are obvious differences in the composition of the bacterial community in the intestine of Pieris canidia. The relative abundance of the intestinal flora of Pieris canidia is relatively conservative at the door level, and the composition of the dominant bacterial group is almost the same, there is no significant Difference(P>0.05);however,the results of Alpha and Beta diversity analysis based on intestinal flora showed that there were certain differences in the developmental stages of larvae and adults and the bacterial community in the male and female intestines of adults, but no significant difference in the male and female intestines of larvae;(2)After removing the endophyte in the intestine of Pieris canidia, the fitness of the host will decrease,as the larval development period becomes longer, the pupation rate decreases, the body weight decreases and the adult lifespan shortens,etc.;(3)Group analysis found that it mainly has a positive effect on the host’s digestion, immunity, health, and nutrient metabolism. In summary, this subject has conducted a preliminary study on the composition of the intestinal microflora of Pieris canidia, which will lay the foundation for the further exploration of the development of symbiotic microbial ecological preparations of lepidopteran insects and the use of microorganisms for biological control.
