With the acceleration of new-type urbanization, the phenomenon of outflow of labor in rural areas is becoming increasingly common.Young people in rural areas are strong enough to enter cities or work in non-agricultural banks.Labor migration work has increased family income of rural households, and people's living standards have been increasing. The rich and varied daily life can not be separated from the supply of energy. The outflow of labor has an impact on the family economy and the change of peasant households' thoughts and behaviors influences the choice of life energy. This paper takes the Shaanxi Province in the western region as an example to study the effect of labor outflow on energy use behaviors of rural households. The study finds that:(1)The outflow of labor affects the household's choice of biomass energy. The higher the income of rural workers, the more farmers tend to choose clean and non-polluting energy sources, and reduce the proportion of biomass energy consumption. The more workers there are,the higher the proportion of biomass energy consumption, the more the labor burden population, the more farmers tend to use traditional biomass.Energy as an energy source.(2)The outflow of labor affects the selection behavior of households' commodity energy. The higher the rural workers' income, the more energy-efficient farmers choose to use clean energy that is convenient and less polluting. The upgrade of energy sources is from low-quality biomass energy such as straw firewood to commodity oil and coal and other energy sources, such as liquefied petroleum gas.The conversion process of high-quality commodity energy will eventually transform into clean energy such as solar biogas after the completion of technologies and various hardware facilities.Shaanxi is located in the western region of China and the level of economic development is in a backward state, and the upgrading and optimization of energy is at a lower level. In general, farmers' living energy is dominated by biomass energy, and commodity energy consumption is supplemented.(3)Other factors have different degrees of influence on household energy use options. The family's economic status is the basis for household consumption. The actual research found that the better the economic status, the higher the family's consumption level and the higher the degree of life satisfaction. The family's cultural level and the type of work industry also directly affect the consumption of households and the family culture.People with higher degrees of life are happier. In addition, the features of terrain and cultural differences are different in terms of energy choice. Finally put forward relevant policy recommendations.
