| Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the relationship between the serum pretreatment Human Epididymis Protein 4(s-HE4)and prognosis in ovarian cancer,and assess the diagnostic value of serum human epididymis 4(s-HE4)in predicting the recurrence of ovarian cancer.Methods: A comprehensive literature search in PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,CBM,CNKI and WanFang Data databases(updated to Dec 30,2017).Two independent investigators assessed the quality of literature using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale(NOS)and the quality of diagnostic test accuracy assessment tool(QUADAS).The articles was selected by two investigators according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria.The data were statistically analyzed using STATA 12.0 software and meta-disc1.4 software.Result:There was a significant association between with the high level s-HE4 and decreased PFS and OS(PFS,HR 1.361,95%CI 1.250-1.481;OS,HR 1.653,95%CI 1.177-2.322).The sensitivity of HE4 on the recurrence of ovarian cancer was 0.79(95% CI 0.74 ~ 0.84),and the specificity was 0.77(95% CI 0.71 ~ 0.82).Conclusion: The s-HE4 was significantly associated with the prognosis of ovarian cancer.The PFS and OS of ovarian cancer patients with high level s-HE4 were significantly decreased.The s-HE4 has high diagnostic performance in recurrent ovarian cancer. |
