Objective: To explore the expression of serum STIM1 in hypertensive patients and its relationship with left ventricular hypertrophy. Methods: All observation subjects(n=124)in this study were enrolled from The Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University during December 2017 to February 2018.The patients were divided into two groups:control group(n=37),primary hypertension group(n=97).Furthermore,the primary hypertension group was separated into two subgroups : hypertension without left ventricular hypertrophy(n=77)and hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy(n=20).The information of the enrolled subjects was collected by the medical staff of the cardiology department, including age, height, weight, gender, smoking history, hypertension history(the time of onset, blood pressure, whether medication, etc.),surgical trauma history, blood transfusion history and family genetic history. The peripheral venous blood of all the patients was collected to detect emergency renal function, blood routine,BNP,myocardial markers, emergency blood glucose and emergency electrolyte on the day of admission. On the next day after admission, fasting venous blood was collected for the detection of blood glucose, liver function, glycosylated hemoglobin, thyroid function, blood lipid, and renal function, then the serum of that was taken for STIM1 detection. The color Doppler ultrasound examination was performed by at least two professional and experienced cardiac ultrasound experts with GE Vivid7 ultrasound system model to measure the left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),interventricular septal thickness(IVST),and left ventricular posterior wall thickness(LVPWT).Left ventricular mass index(LVMI)was calculated. The data in this exploration was analyzed using SPSS 22 statistical software. Results: 1.The levels of TG,UA,ALT,AST,TB,DB,IB,LVPWT,IVST,RWT,LVMI in the primary hypertension group were higher than those of the control group, statistical differences(P <0.05).Smoking,gender,age,RBC,WBC,HGB,PLT,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,ApoA1,ApoB,BUN,Scr,Cys C,eGFR were not statistically different between the two groups(P>0.05).2.The expression of serum STIM1 in peripheral blood was significantly higher in the primary hypertension group than that in the control group(466.44±87.40ug/ml vs 378.12±74.42ug/ml,P<0.05).3.In the primary hypertension group, the correlation analysis of serum STIM1 and TG?UA?ALT?AST?TB?DB?IB?IVST?LVPWT?RWT?LVMI revealed that there was a positive correlation between the serum STIM1 and LVMI(R=0.202,P < 0.05).4.The expression of serum STIM1 in control group was 378.12 ±74.42ug/ml,the expression of serum STIM1 in hypertension without left ventricular hypertrophy group was 455.52±86.04ug/ml,the expression of serum STIM1 in hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy group was 508.51±81.48ug/ml,and all three groups had statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The expression of STIM1 in serum of patients with primary hypertension is higher than that of normal control.2.The increased expression of serum STIM1 is associated with hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy.
