Objective:This study intended to explore suitable indicators of predicting vulnerable carotid plaque, through evaluating the ability of OX-LDL,OX-LDL/TC,OX-LDL/HDL,OX-LDL/LDL in diagnosising vulnerable carotid plaque. Methods:This study recruited 99 acute cerebral infarction patients in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January 2016 to January 2017.General informatin of all patients were recorded, including gender, age, previous history, private history, total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein,high-density lipoprotein,triglyceride,homocysteinemia,hs-CRP,OXLDL,OX-LDL/TC,OX-LDL/HDL,OX-LDL/LDL.All patients were classified into two groups: non-plaque group and plaque group by the color doppler ultrasound. The plaque group was further divided into stable-plaque group and unstable-plaque group.Results:1.There was no statistical difference between non-plaque group and plaque group in gender,smoking,drinking,hypertension,hyperhomocysteinemia,hs-CRP,triglyceride,total cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein,low-density lipoprotein.but the difference between non-plaque group and plaque group in age,diabetes,OX-LDLwas statistical significant.2.There was no statistical difference between stable-plaque group and unstable-plaque group in gender, age, smoking, drinking, hypertension, diabetes, hyperhomocysteinemia, total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein,high-density lipoprotein,hs-CRP,OX-LDL/TC,OX-LDL/LDL.but the difference between stable-plaque group and unstable-plaque group in OX-LDL,OX-LDL/HDL,triglyceride was significant.3.Through logistic regression analysis, plasma triglyceride,OX-LDL and OX-LDL/HDL were the independent risk factors of vulnerable carotid plaque.4.Receiver-operating characteristic curve analysis was used to evaluate the diagnostic value of plasma OX-LDL and OX-LDL/HDL.The results were as follows:The area under the curve of OX-LDL was 0.828.The area under the curve of OX-LDL/HDL was 0.695.5.The carotid plaques of patients with acute cerebral infarction were mainly observed in carotid bifurcation. Conclusion:Plasma OX-LDL and OX-LDL/HDL of patients with acute cerebral infarction were closely associated with carotid vulnerable plaque.OX-LDL and OX-LDL/HDL could be used as indicators of carotid vulnerable plaque in clinical practice.
