Objective: To investigate the relationship between the expression of serum RhoA protein and type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:The subjects were divided into three groups:healthy control group(n=33),type 2 diabetes group(n=31),type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy group(n=30).RhoA protein,fasting blood glucose(FBG),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),Creatinine(CR),Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase(ALT),Glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(AST),the motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV)and the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)of nervi medianus and other experimental indexes were measured in three groups.Serum RhoA protein was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(Elisa).Compare the differences of serum RhoA protein expression among the three groups,and analyze the relationship between RhoA protein and clinical trial indexes.The data was analyzed by SPSS 21.0.Result:1.In Serum RhoA level,type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with peripheral neuropathy group was significantly higher than simple diabetes mellitus group,and simple diabetes mellitus group was significantly higher than healthy group.And there were statistical differences between the three groups.P<0.01.2.There were positive correlations between the level of serum RhoA and TC,TG,FBG and Hb A1c(P<0.05).There were negative correlations between RhoA level and MCV and SCV(P<0.01).And there were no correlations between serum RhoA and age,BMI,LDL,CR,BUN,ALT and AST(P>0.05).3.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that there was a linearrelationship between the serum Rho A level and FBG.Conclusion:1.The expression of serum RhoA protein in patients with diabetes mellitus and diabetic PeriPheral neuropathy was significantly higher than that in healthy people,and the increase of serum RhoA protein level in patients with diabetic neuropathy is more prominent.2.The level of serum RhoA protein is closely related to blood glucose level and the nerve conduction velocity,suggesting that RhoA protein may be involved in the formation of diabetic neuropathy.
