Objective:By analyzing the correlation between preoperative serum lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and colorectal cancer(CRC)staging and pathological features, the changes of serum lactate dehydrogenase levels in patients with colorectal cancer were investigated from the perspective of abnormal glucose metabolism in cancer cells and their detection.value.Methods:The clinical data of 433 patients with colorectal cancer who were treated in the first affiliated hospital of guangxi medical university from June2013 to November 2015 were collected.Comparison of serum LDH between colorectal cancer group and control group. The changes of serum LDH in patients with colorectal cancer were analyzed.According to the serum LDH increased or not,all cases can be divided into elevated LDH and LDH in normal group, the application of statistical methods, such as chi-square analysis to age, sex, serum tumor markers, tumor stage, tumor location, differentiation degree, infiltration depth, transfer, nerve invasion, vascular invasion,CEA and other clinical data. The relationship between LDH and CRC differentiation, infiltration and metastasis was discussed by analyzing the statistical significance of single factor analysis.Result:Under different clinical stage and pathological characteristics of the comparison of serum LDH,the result shows:Preoperative LDH and tumor differentiation(P<0.001),T-stage(P<0.001),N-stage(P<0.001),M-stage(P<0.001),TNM stage(P<0.001),neural invasion(P=0.003),vascular invasion(P=0.002)and other significant correlations. The univariate analysis showed that the tumor differentiation(?~2=85.042,P<0.001),T-stage(?~2=23.791,P<0.001),N-stage(?~2=7.532,P=0.023),M-stage(?~2=83.087,P<0.001),tumor TNM stage(?~2=85.985,P<0.001),nerve invasion(?~2=23.572,P<0.001),vascular invasion(?~2=18.367,P<0.001),CEA(?~2=9.396,P=0.002)was significantly associated with preoperative serum LDH elevation. With LDH levels as dependent variable, the degree of differentiation,T stage,N stage,M stage, tumor stage, nerve invasion, vascular invasion as independent variables, such as assignment into binary classification after Logistic regression model,multi-factor results show that the differentiation degree, infiltration depth and distant metastases were independent factors affecting change of LDH.Conclusion:Preoperative serum LDH levels are related to tumor differentiation, depth of invasion, and metastasis.Preoperative serum LDH levels have certain clinical significance in judging the stage and progression of colorectal cancer patients.
