| Objective: Guangxi Shangsi County is one of the fourth national counties of traditional Chinese medicine resource survey.This article investigates the plant species,distribution,reserves and traditional medicine knowledge of the county's traditional Chinese medicine resources,and analyzes and evaluates the county's traditional Chinese medicine resources.In addition,pharmacognosy research was conducted on the folk medicinal Marchantia convoluta in the county to provide scientific basis and basis for promoting the development and sustainable development of traditional Chinese medicine resources.Methods: Literature survey methods,field surveys(including sample surveys and sample plot surveys)using GPS satellite positioning system to accurately locate,take photos,collect specimens,visit surveys;Internal organization(sample preparation and identification,data compilation,database filing,and sorting of medicinal plants in Shangsi County);The faunal analysis was conducted on the ethnic medicines(Zhuang and Yao medicines),and the similarities and differences between the same medical plants used in Chinese medicine,Zhuang and Yao medicine were compared;Taking the folk medicine Marchantia convoluta as an example,microscopic observations were carried out.UV-Vis spectrophotometry was used to determine the contents and the flavonoids were determined by UHPLC-MS method.Results: 1.Field investigations were conducted in 37 sample plots and 185 quadrats in the field.812 species of Chinese herbal resources were collected,affiliated to 147 families and 507 genera.There are 4 families which including more than 20 species(Branches,Euphorbiaceae,Rubiaceae,and Asteraceae),only one purple genus(Ardisia).The resources of traditional Chinese medicine are mainly grasses,roots and rhizomes.The highest frequency of medicinal use was in the whole grass(338);followed by roots and roots(239).The heat-clearing and blood-activating-fungus medicinal plants are the most common species,accounting for 61.95% and 42.36% of the medicinal plant species in Shangsi County.The medicinal plants in Shangsi County have a multi-effect phenomenon which the total number of functional species and the total number of medicinal plants reaches 1.9594.The distribution types of medicinal plants in Shangsi County are mostly tropical,and the plants are tropical in nature.2.Shangsi County cultivated medicinal materials include Lespedeza formosa,Cinnamomum cassia,Gardenia jasminoides,etc.17 species of rare and endangered medicinal plants in the wild,including 2 species of national first-level protection plants,6 species of national second-level protection plants,and national third-levels of protected plants.1 species,8 species of protected plants at the autonomous region level.In the sample survey,there were 15 key species.The most frequently occurring species was Liquidambar formosana(0.1568),which reflected a large amount of reserves;followed by Melia azedarach(0.1405),Smilax china(0.0919),Imperata cylindrica var.major(0.0635),Senecio scandens(0.0365)and so on,which to some extent indicate that its reserves are normal.3.The Zhuang and Yao ethnic minorities in Shangsi County have their own characteristics such as the scraping and provocation of the Zhuang and the medicine bath of the Yao.A total of 142 Zhuang drugs commonly used in the county were investigated,and a total of 48 Yao drugs were used,and most of them are detoxification,bruises,and rheumatism drugs.The efficacy and medicinal sites of the same species have similarities and differences in the use of Chinese medicine,Zhuang medicine,and Yao medicine.4.The bryophytes are the plants that have been found in recent years to have a hepatoprotective effect.Among them,the genus of Marchantia as a folk herb is widely used in Shangsi County,which has great medicinal potential and development value.Gathering samples of Marchantia convoluta from 12 producing areas in and around Shangsi County for research,the experimental results show that the plant morphology and microscopic features can be used as a reference for identification of Marchantia convoluta.5.The content of total flavonoids in Marchantia convoluta was between 4.6882 and 48.8298mg/g by UV-Vis spectrophotometry.The content of samples in each producing area had great difference.The total flavonoid content in Marchantia convoluta produced in Zhaoping county of Hezhou was the highest.The UHPLC-MS method for the determination of Marchantia convoluta in Guangxi may contain five flavonoids,namely Apigenin7,4'-diglucuronide,Apigenin7-glucuronide,apigenin,luteolin,and eosin.Conclusion: This article carried out investigation and analysis of traditional Chinese medicine resources in Shangsi County and the pharmacognosy research of folk medicinal Marchantia convoluta.812 kinds of Chinese medicine specimens were collected and identified,and the census data and specimen database of Shangsi County were provided.The diversity of vegetation types,geographical characteristics,families,medicinal parts,and efficacy included rare and endangered medicinal plants and key medicinal materials.The reserves,special ethnic medicines,etc.were investigated and analyzed.Provides morphological and microscopic features of Marchantia convoluta and data on flavonoid content in 12 production sites within and outside Shangsi County.The Marchantia convoluta in Guangxi may contain five flavonoids,namely Apigenin7,4'-diglucuronide,Apigenin7-glucuronide,and celery.Sulphur,luteolin,and eustoma.The medicinal parts and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine,Zhuang medicine,and Yao medicine for the same basic species were compared,and the results showed that they had their own characteristics.medicinal plants,cultivation and resources of traditional Chinese medicines,and sustainable utilization of traditional Chinese medicine resources in the county,and provides experimental basis for the development of quality standards for Guangxi-made Marchantia convoluta.Innovation points: 1.Analyze the plant species of traditional Chinese medicine resources in Shangsi County,and analyze the
