| Objectives To explore the effect of mindfulness decompression therapy on depression and ADL in elderly housebound with depression.Methods Take the stratified random sampling method,1 districts in the 3 boroughs of Hebei city in Handan province(Fuxing District),drew from 1 communities in 65 communities within the selected Fuxing district(Jianan community),screening 1371 more than 60 year elders in community,83 of home screening with depression in housebound elders were randomly divided into intervention group and control group,intervention group received mindfulness-based stress reduction,control group with blank control.At 4 and 8 weeks before and after intervention we evaluate the housebound state assessment scale and the Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS)The activities of daily living(ADL)and quality of life scale(WHOQOL-Brief).And conduct statistical analysis using SPSS17.0.Results 41 cases in the intervention group and 42 cases in the control group.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the general situation before the intervention(P>0.05),and the balance between the two groups was comparable.After the intervention,1 Comparison of the housebound status between the two groups of elderly people: 4 weeks and 8 weeks after intervention,housebound score of the intervention group were lower than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);2 Comparison of the The level of mindfulness and its dimensions status between the two groups of elderly people: 4 weeks after the intervention,the intervention group housebound aged FFMQ total score,observation dimension were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),8 weeks after the intervention,the intervention group housebound aged FFMQ total score,observation dimension and non reaction dimension,not judgment and perception action dimension knowledge were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);3 The depression status of two groups of housebound elderly patients was compared: after 4 weeks and 8 weeks intervention,the depression scores of the elderly in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);4 Two groups of housebound elderly quality of life comparison: After 4 weeks after the intervention,the intervention group housebound aged psychological field were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),After 8 weeks of intervention,the total score of life quality,physiological field,psychological field and social relationship in the intervention group were all higher than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);5 The comparison of ADL status between the two groups of housebound elderly people: after 8 weeks of intervention,the score of ADL in the intervention group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions 1 The intervention of mindfulness decompression therapy can improve the overall level of mindfulness and improve the quality of life of the aged housebound.2 After 8 weeks therapy of mindfulness-based stress reduction,the housebound status of the elderly people was significantly improved.3 mindfulness decompression therapy can effectively improve the depressive state and ADL of housebound elderly. |
