Comparative Study On The Shear Bond Strength Between Four Kinds Of Resin Inlay Materials And Dentin

Objective:To compare the shear bond strength of four kinds of resin inlay materials?Z350,Ceramage,Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill,P60?and dentin in order to provide reference for the choice of the resin inlay material,besides evaluate the effect of the self-etching adhesive Adeper^TMEasy One on the bond strength between self-adhesive cement?RelyX^TMM Unicem?and dentin.Methods:Eighty extracted human third molars were selected,removed the 1/3 occlusal surface of the tooth tissue,the remaining teeth were embedded in self-caring resin with the middle dentin exposed and made them into standard dentin specimens;The four kinds of composite resin?Z350,Ceramage,Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill,P60?were filled into the PMMA tubular mould?d=3mm,h=4mm?and were initially cured,then secondarily treated.Each kind of resin inlay specimen was divided into 2 groups?n=10?,randomly.The 2 groups were bonded to the dentin specimens with or without self-etching adhesive Adeper^TMEasy One pretreatment,respectively and randomly,with the self-adhesive resin cement RelyX^TMM Unicem.The shear bond strength of adhesive specimens was measured using a universal testing machine.The fracture modes were observed and recorded under a stereoscopic microscope.The experimental date was statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0 software package.Results:1.In unpretreatment group,the shear bond strength from biggest to the smallest was as follows:Z350?Ceramage?P60 and Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill.There was no difference in shear bond strength between adjacent groups,but there was a significant difference among non-adjacent groups.2.In pretreatment group,the shear bond strength from biggest to the smallest was as follows:P60?Z350?Ceramage and Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill.There were significant differences between Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill group with the other three groups,but there was no difference among the three groups.3.The shear bond strength of P60 and Tetric N-Ceram BulkFill in the pretreatment group was greater than in the unpretreatment group?P<0.05?.The other two kinds had no difference between the pretreatment group with the unpretreatment group?P>0.05?.Conclusion:To evaluate the bond strength,Z350 and Ceramage are ideal clinical materials for making resin inlay just by the adhesive strength characteristics.The application of self-etching adhesive Adeper^TMEasy One,in certain degree,can enhance the bond strength of self-adhesive cement RelyX^TMM Unicem with dentin,but there is a relationship with the resin inlay material.
