Objective: To observe the efficacy of intravitreal injection conbercept for macular edema in branch retinal vein occlusion. To investigate the related factors affectting the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)after treatmentMethods: The cases of Zunyi Medical University Affiliated Hospital were prospectively collected from May 2016 to November 2017.20 eyes of 20 cases with macular edema secondary to BRVO diagnosed according to the patient's history, fundus photography, fundus fluorescein angiography, macular optical coherence tomography(OCT).There were7 eyes of 7males,13 eyes of 13 females, age ranged from 42-72 years old, with an average age was(55.55 ±9.82)years old.All eyes were tested for best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)that were examed wiht the international visual chart, and recorded as logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution acuity. All the eyes were treated with intravitreal injection of 0.05 ml Conbercept(10mg/ml)using the “1+PRN” protocol.20 eyes received47 times of injection, the average number of injection was(2.35±0.93)times.BCVA and macular OCT were examined before and after treatment. To compare the changes of central macula thickness(CMT),the rupture length of ellipsoid zone, the rupture length of external limiting membrane and the changes of BCVA before and after treatment. Results: 1.Before and after treatment,LogMAR BCVA,CMT,the rupture length of ellipsoid zone, the rupture length of external limiting membrane were analyzed by repeated measurement analysis of variance. The results showed that there were improved with statistically significant differences in LogMAR BCVA,CMT,the rupture length of ellipsoid zone and the rupture length of external limiting membrane between before and after treatment(F=15.218,20.443,23.382,11.147,P<0.05).LogMAR BCVA?CMT and the rupture length of external limiting membrane between before and after treatment were improved with statistically significant difference(P<0.05),while there was no statistically significant difference among the time points after treatment(P>0.05).The rupture length of ellipsoid zone after 1week,1month,3month,6month treatment was shorter than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The rupture length of ellipsoid zone after 1,3,6month treatment was shorter than that after 1week treatment, the difference was statistically significant.2.Between LogMAR BCVA at 1 week,1,3,6 month after treatment and pre-treatment LogMAR BCVA,CMT,the rupture length of ellipsoidal zone and external limiting membrane were analyzed by the Pearson correlation analysis. There was positive Correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 1 weekafter treatment and LogMAR BCVA before treatment(r=0.841,P<0.05),while there was no correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 1 week after treatment and pre-treatment CMT,the rupture length of ellipsoidal zone, the rupture length of external limiting membrane(r=0.263,0.439,0.290,P>0.05).There was positive correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 1 month after treatment and pre-treatment LogMAR BCVA,the rupture length of ellipsoidal zone(r = 0.763,0.463,P <0.05),while there was no correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 1 month after treatment and pre-treated CMT,the rupture length of external limiting membrane(r =0.285,0.402,P>0.05).There was positive Correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 3 month after treatment and pre-treatment LogMAR BCVA,the rupture length of ellipsoidal zone, the rupture length ofexternal limiting membrane(r=0.790,0.521,0.486,P<0.05),while there was no correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 3 month after treatment and pre-treated CMT(r=0.438,P>0.05).There was positive Correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 6 month after treatment and pre-treatment LogMAR BCVA,the rupture length of ellipsoidal zone, the rupture length ofexternal limiting membrane(r=0.766,0.571,0.519,P<0.05),while there was no correlation between LogMAR BCVA at 3 month after treatment and pre-treated CMT(r=0.368,P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.Intravitreal injection combercept can reduce macular edema, improve visual acuity and contribute to the recovery of photoreceptor cell function.2.The visual prognosis of Conbercept in treatment of retinal branch vein occlusion was related to pre-treatment the rupture length of ellipsoid zone, the rupture length of external limiting membrane and visual acuity.Which was negatively correlated with the rupture length of ellipsoid zone and external limiting membrane, and positively correlated wiht visual acuity.
