Objective: To observe and compare the clinical improvement of visual analogue score of pain(VAS)and range of motion of cervical vertebra of patients with stiff neck treated with single point and acupoints compatibility,to discuss the difference of clinical curative effect of single point and acupoints compatibility therapy,so as to continuously improve and enrich the theory of acupoints compatibility, and to provide basis for the optimal selection of clinical acupoints for acupuncture treatment of stiff neck. Methods: From October 2017 to December 2018,62 patients with stiff neck who were treated in the outpatient department of acupuncture, orthopedics and pain department of the affiliated hospital of changchun university of traditional Chinese medicine were divided into two completely randomized controlled groups. The 62 cases were randomly divided into a group of 31 cases of single acupoint and the other 31 cases of acupoints compatibility by SPSS19.0statistical software. The acupoints compatibility was given some treatment at the acupoints of Houxi,Xuanzhong and Wailaogong. The single acupoint group was given some treatment at the acupoints of Houxi. All acupoints were selected from the same side of the lesion site. The disposable sterile needle of Andy brand 0.25mm×40mm was directly pricked 0.5-1.2in,and the needle was kept for 30 min after the needle was inserted. After two courses of treatment, the relevant data were statistically analyzed.Visual analogue score of pain(VAS)and cervical mobility scale were used to evaluation, and SPSS19.0statistical software was used for statistical analysis. Results: According to statistical analysis, there was no significant difference among the patients of different gender, age and pre-treatment evaluation of patients in the two groups(P>0.05).Therefore,the acupoints compatibility group and the single acupoint group were comparable.1.Visual analogue score of pain(VAS):acupoints compatibility group comparison showed that the score of pain degree in the acupoints compatibility group and the single point group after treatment was significantly lower than that before the treatment,P<0.05,indicating that both the acupoint combination therapy and the single point combination therapy had better therapeutic effects on relieving the pain of stiff neck patients.By comparison between groups, the rank-sum test of two independent samples showed P<0.05,indicating that there was a significant difference in pain scores between the two groups after the treatments, and the efficacy of the acupoints compatibility group was better than that of the single point group in relieving pain.2.Score of cervical vertebra motility:acupoints compatibility group comparison showed that the score of cervical vertebra motility of the acupoints compatibility group and the single point group decreased significantly after treatment compared with that before treatment,P<0.05,indicating that the combination of acupoints compatibility therapy and single point therapy had improved the cervical vertebra motility of stiff neck patients to different degrees. In comparison between groups, the rank-sum test of two independent samples showed P<0.05,indicating that there was a significant difference in the score of cervical motion after treatment between the two groups, and the efficacy of the acupoints compatibility group was superior to the single point group in improving the patients' cervical motion.3.Overall efficacy:after clinical treatment, there were 31 cases in the acupoints compatibility group, among which 12 cases were cured(recovery rate was 38.71%),17 cases were improved,2 cases were invalid, and the total effective rate was 93.55%.There were 31 cases in the single point group, among which 6 cases were cured(recovery rate was 19.35%),18 cases were improved, and 7 cases were ineffective, with the total effective rate of 77.42%.The rank-sum test showed that Z=-2.127 and P=0.033<0.05,indicating that there was a significant difference in the efficacy of the compatibility group of acupoints and the single point group, and the efficacy of the compatibility group of acupoints was significantly better than that of the single point group. Conclusion: The combination of acupuncture single point and acupoints compatibility improved the symptoms of patients with stiff neck, and significantly reduced the pain of patients. The method is simple and effective and worth popularizing.
