| Objective Through the acupuncture on hand-feet same name acupoint coordinate with stomach and intestine front-mu point,select Zusanli,Shangguxu,Hegu,Quchi,Zhongwan,and Tianshu acupoint etc.Statistically compare the value of C-reactive protein(CRP),intra-abdominal pressure(IAP),intestine peristalsis frequency defecation frequency before and after 1-week treatment on trials of standard western medicine therapy with or without acupuncture treatment..Observe the effectiveness of acupuncture therapy in addition to standard western therapy.Evaluate the effect of prescription of selected acupoint on AGI treatment,in order to provide a new method with the combination of Chinese and western medicine to improve the gastrointestinal function of AGI patients,and promote the application.Methods According to the method of randomization,56 hospitalized patients,who meet the selection criterion with acute gastrointestinal injury,were randomly selected into 2 groups,control group and treatment group,28 cases in the control group and 28 cases in the treatment group.Control group:provide standard western medicine therapy(AGI II with Moser shall 5mg tid;AGI III with Rheum officinale lOg enema qd,in addition to AGI Ⅱ medication).Treatment group:on basis of therapy on the control group,treatment group combine with the acupuncture treatment.Acupoint selection:Zusanli,Shangjuxu,Zhongwan,Tianshu,Hegu,Quchi.Acupuncture methods:Straight needling into acupoint,given proper tonifying and reducing manipulation like lifting-thrusting and twirling-rotating manipulation.In Zhongwan,Tianshu acupoint,apply twirling-rotating tonifying manipulation.In Hegu,Quchi acupoint,apply lifting-thrusting tonifying manipulation.In Zusanli,Shangguxu acupoint,apply lifting-thrusting and twirling-rotating tonifying manipulation.After getting qi of traditional Chinese,Stay the needle in acupoint for 30 minutes,during the period,needle manipulation 1 times.Give the treatment 1 times a day,7 continuous days.After 7 days,assess the therapy treatment results on both control and treatment group.Results 1.Observe results when cases divided into control group and treatment group.the statistical result shows the p value of variables relating with age,gender,C-reactive protein(CRP),intra-abdominal pressure(IAP),intestine peristalsis frequency,defecation frequency,AGI level,APACHE-II score all above 0.05,it indicates that it has no difference between 2 group in statistics before one week.2.After 7 days treatment,compare the value of C-reactive protein between control and treatment groups,shows means value in control group is 70.96 with the standard deviation of 53.37,and mean value in the treatment group is 55.10 with the standard deviation of 40.26.The p value is above 0.05 after doing the t-test;it indicates no statistical meaning in CRP variable between 2 groups.3.After 7 days treatment,compared with results of IAP and intestine peristalsis frequency.Regarding variable of intra-abdominal pressure,in control group,the mean value is 8.93 with standard deviation 2.37,in the treatment group;the mean value is 7.68 with standard deviation 1.74.The p value is less than 0.05,shows it has a difference between 2 groups in statistics.Comparing the value of intestine peristalsis frequency,the mean and standard deviation are 4.60 and 2.53 respectively in the control group,and the mean value is 7.14 with the standard deviation of 3.40 in the treatment group.The p value is below 0.05,which shows a statistical difference between 2 groups.4.After 7 days treatment,doing the assessment of AGI level in control and treatment group.The results show,in control group,portion on level of very effective is 3.57%,level on effective is 82.14%,and level on noneffective is 14.29%,in treatment group,portion on level of very effective is 21.43%,and level on effective is 78.57%,no level of noneffective cases.The p value of variable AGI level compare with 2 groups is below 0.05,which indicates a statistically significant difference between 2 groups.5.observe the result of defecation frequency from day 1 to day 7,computing the mean value of each case in 2 groups by using weight average method,for the weight of value in each day of the week is significant different toward the experiment result.As the result,the statistic p value regarding 2 groups on variable relating with defecation frequency is 0.28 above 0.05,which shows no statistically significant difference.Conclusion First of all,it has an effect to use traditional western medicine therapy with or without acupuncture treatment to cure the acute gastrointestinal injury.However,it shows more effective to use therapy of western medicine combined with acupuncture treatment.Secondly,Compare with using standard western medicine therapy solely,the combination of western medicine and acupuncture therapy can more effectively reduce intra-abdominal pressure and increase intestine peristalsis frequency. |
