Research On Public Health In Taihang Base Area (1941-1949)

Public health is related to the health habits and physical health of the population in a country or region,and it is closely related to the people's life and affects the community economic and cultural development of the region.The Taihang base area has a large population and is one of the important enemy base areas during the war.It has an important historical and political position and plays a crucial role in the victory of the war.In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War,the health status of the base areas was low,affecting people's health and social development.After entering the Taihang base area,the 129 th Division devoted great efforts to the development of army health and assisted local governments in the development of public health,achieving great results.This article consists of five chapters and is divided into three parts.The first chapter analyzes the reasons for the development of public health in the base areas.First of all,it outlines the public health status in the Taihang region during the early years of the Anti-Japanese War,including lack of medical care,poor hygienic habits,superstitious thinking,and epidemic prevalence.Secondly,it analyzes the reasons behind the backwardness of health in the base areas,the backwardness of the people's ideas,and disasters.War,government does not pay attention,and so on.The second chapter and the third chapter are the main part of this article,and discuss the specific measures and contents in the process of carrying out public health undertakings in the base areas.The second chapter describes the establishment of a medical system in the process of health care in the base areas.Administrative organizations,medical institutions,health personnel,and drug research and development work together to form an effective health system.The third chapter describes specific health issues.The work was carried out mainly in terms of public health education,maternal and child health,epidemic prevention and the improvement of public environmental sanitation,and finally summarized the characteristics of public health in the area.Chapters 4 and 5 summarize the entire public health undertaking.The fourth chapter first affirmed the achievements made in the development of health services,and then analyzed its shortcomings.The fifth chapter summarizes the experience and lessons of the development of public health in the base areas and has a great reference for the development of contemporary medical and health undertakings.
