Objective To explore the relationship between elder patients’frailty and arteriosclerosis, and the influencing factors of frailty。MethodsFrom January 2017 to March 2018,a total of 126 elderly patients from January 2017 to March 2018 in the geriatrics clinic and physical examination center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were collected.According to Fried Frailty Scale score, the subjects were divided into two groups:the Frailty Group with 3 points or more and the Non-Frailty Group less 3 points.Cardio-ankle vascular index and ankle brachial index were measured by VS-1500A.Carotid intima-media thickness(IMT)and plaque were measured by CX50 color doppler ultrasonography, and Crouse integral was calculated.6-minute walking experiment was conducted. The levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),very low density lipoprotein cholesterol(VLDL-C),blood pressure, blood sugar, complications and medication were measured. The independent sample t test was used to analyze the clinical data between the two groups.Pearson correlation analysis method was used to analyze the correlation between frailty score and atherosclerosis index.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of frailty.SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used for the above statistical treatment, with P<0.05 as the statistical difference.ResultsThere were 67 males and 59 females aged 65-84(71.97±3.67).By Fried scale,60 cases in the frailty group and 66 cases in the non-frailty group were divided into two groups. There was no significant difference in TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,VLDL-C,diastolic pressure, malignant tumor, peptic ulcer and chronic renal insufficiency between the two groups(P>0.05).Age(73.10±3.40 years old),cardio-anklevascularindex(10.61±2.03),carotidIMT(1.06±0.27mm),Crouse score(15.62±15.10mm),fasting blood glucose(6.96±1.50mmol/l),chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(16 persons),anemia(10 persons)and multiple drug use(17 persons)in the frailty group were significantly higher than those in the non-frailty group, while body mass index(20.67±2.19kg/m~2),ankle-brachial index(0.98±0.14),6-minute walking distance(391.02±83.80mm),and systolic blood pressure(118.83±13.28mmhg)were significantly lower than those in the non-frailty group(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that Fried Frailty Scale score was positively correlated with cardio-ankle vascular index, carotid IMT and Crouse score(r=0.57,P<0.05;r=0.55,P<0.05;r=0.47,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with ankle-brachial index(r=-0.35,P<0.05).Regarding frailty as dependent variable, independent sample t-test indicators with statistical significance as independent variable, logistic regression analysis showed that:age,cardio-ankle vascular index, carotid IMT,6-minute walking distance, systolic blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and multiple drug use were correlated with elder frailty(P<0.05,P<0.01).ConclusionFrailty is correlated with atherosclerosis.Frailty score is positively correlated with ankle index, carotid IMT,Crouse score and negatively correlated with ankle-brachial index. After adjusting for multiple factors, ankle index and carotid intima-media thickness are still correlated with senile frailty.Attention should be paid to early monitoring and intervention of arteriosclerosis.Age,6-minute walking distance, systolic blood pressure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple drug use are correlated with elder frailty. We should pay attention to the intervention of the above factors to delay the progress of Frailty.
