Objective To observe the effects of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with enteral nutrition support on body weight, body mass index, hemoglobin, serum albumin, serum prealbumin and non-handgrip strength of patients with gastric cancer during conversion chemotherapy. To clarify the effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with enteral nutrition support on nutritional status of patients with gastric cancer undergoing conversion chemotherapy, further promote the clinical application of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction. Methods According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,44 patients with Spleen-Qi Deficiency Type of gastric cancer who were hospitalized in Oncology Department and Gastrointestinal Surgery Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2017 to December 2018 were randomly divided into control group(21 cases)and experimental group(23 cases). The experimental group was treated with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction plus ansu enteral nutrition powder, while the control group was treated with ansu enteral nutrition powder only. There were no significant differences in gender, age, weight, body mass index, hemoglobin, serum albumin, serum prealbumin and non-handgrip strength between the two groups(P >0.05).Paclitaxel combined with Tegio(S-1)capsule regimen was given to both groups. The dosage of paclitaxel was 175 mg/m2,intravenous drip was used for only one day;the dosage of Tegio capsule was 60 mg/m2,orally,twice a day,for the first day to the 14 th day, stop taking drugs 1 week after 2 weeks,21 days as a cycle.A total of 3 cycles of transformation chemotherapy were performed. From the first day,the experimental group was given Ansu enteral nutrition powder orally, three times a day,55.8 g each time, dissolved in 200 ml warm water;at the same time, oral Buzhong Yiqi Decoction,1 dose a day, decocted twice a day, taking three chemotherapy cycles. The control group received enteral nutrition powder of ansu orally from the first day, three times a day,55.8 g each time, dissolved in 200 ml warm water, and took three cycles of chemotherapy. At the end of three cycles, the body weight and non-handgrip strength of patients were measured, body mass index was calculated, and hemoglobin, serum albumin and serum prealbumin were detected in laboratory.SPSS19.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results 1.Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference in body weight and body mass index between the two groups after 3 cycles of chemotherapy(P >0.05).2.Compared with the control group, there were significant differences in hemoglobin, serum albumin, serum prealbumin and non-handgrip strength between the two groups after 3 cycles of chemotherapy(P <0.05).3.After 3 cycles of chemotherapy, there were significant differences in hemoglobin, serum albumin and non-handgrip strength before and after treatment in the experimental group(P <0.05).Conclusion Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with enteral nutrition support can improve the nutritional status of patients with gastric cancer undergoing conversion chemotherapy, which is worthy of promotion in clinic.
