Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Chronic Sinusitis With Saponin Zao-Jiao-Ci(The Spine Of Gleditsia Sinensis Lam.)

ObjectiveIn this study,patients with chronic sinusitis are treated with sinus negative pressure replacement method to observe the difference in the efficacy of saline and saponin solution in the treatment of chronic sinusitis.By com-paring the clinical efficacy of the two groups of patients after treatment,it provides a clinical basis for the treatment of chronic sinusitis with traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsPatients with chronic sinusitis who met the criteria were divided into control group and treatment group according to simple random method,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with normal saline via sinus negative pressure replacement,and the treatment group was treated with Zao-Jiao-Ci by sinus negative pressure replacement,5 times a week for 3 weeks(15 times in total).The differences between the symptomatic VAS score and the Lund-Kennedy endoscopic score before and after treatment were observed and evaluated.ResultsAfter treatment,nasal congestion,nasal secretions,head and face pain,decreased olfactory symptoms,nasal endoscopic mucosal edema,and nasal leakage scores were improved compared with those before treatment,the diff-erence was statistically significant(all P<0.05).And the differences in symptom scores and nasal endoscopy scores in the treatment group were greater than those in the control group,that is,the improvement of symptom scores and nasal endoscopy scores in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group.Before and after treatment,the differences in VAS scores of nasal secretions,total scores of symptoms,differences in nasal endoscopic rhinorrhea scores,and total endoscopic differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).The difference in VAS scores of other symptoms and nasal endoscopic mucosal edema score difference,the difference were not statistically significant(all P>0.05).According to the efficacy evaluation criteria,the total effective rate was 35.43%in the treatment group and 71.43%in the 35 patients in the control group,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionBoth groups of patients were effective after treatment,but Zao-Jiao-Ci granule solution sinus negative pressure replacement therapy is superior to saline sinus negative pressure replacement method.
