Objective:To detect the expression of silent information regulator 1(SIRT1)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in patients with moderate-severe obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)with left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH),and explore the role of SIRT1 and SOD in the mechanisms of OSA combined with LVH.Methods:We enrolled a total of 53 patients who met the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The patients were divided into 3 groups: 20 control group(N group),21 OSA group(O group),21 OSA combined with LVH group(OL group). All patients in the group underwent echocardiography. We detected and compared the level of SIRT1 and SOD in the three groups, and analyzed the serum SIRT1 and SOD levels by Pearson linear correlation.Results:1.There were no significant differences in age,BMI,systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the groups(P>0.05).2.Compared with the control group, the serum SIRT1 and SOD levels in the OSA group and the OSA combined with LVH group were significantly lower(P<0.05).The serum SIRT1 and SOD levels in the OSA combined with LVH group were higher than the OSA group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);3.Correlation analysis: The higher the AHI of patients with OSA and OSA combined with LVH,the lower the serum SIRT1 and SOD levels, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Serum SIRT1 and SOD levels in the OSA patients and OSA combined with LVH patients are lower than those in normal subjects, suggesting that oxidative stress levels are elevated in OSA patients and OSA combined with LVH patients.2.The levels of SIRT1 and SOD in OSA patients and OSA combined with LVH patients are related to the severity of OSA,suggesting that SIRT1 and SOD can be used as indicators for OSA assessment.3.The levels of SIRT1 and SOD in OSA combined with LVH patients are higher than those in OSA patients, suggesting that SIRT1 and SOD levels in OSA combined with LVH patients increase in compensation. This may have a certain effect on alleviating myocardial oxidative stress and delaying ventricular remodeling.
