| Objective:To observe and compare the clinical efficacy of Yang-reinforcing pediatric Tuina manipulation in prevention and treatment of recurrent respiratory tract infection(RRTI)at different times of day,and provide a more effective method and the best intervention timing for the treatment of RRTI in children. Methods:A total of 144 cases of children with RRTI in remission were randomly divided into Tuina group A(n = 36),Tuina group B(n = 36),Tuina group C(n = 36),and drug group(n = 36).For Tuina group A,B and C,Tianmen,Kangong,Taiyang(EX-HN5),Fengchi(GB20),Fengfu(DU16),Yifeng(SJ17),Jianjing(GB21),Sanguan,Dantian,Feishu(BL13),Wailaogong(EX-UE8),Ji,Chest,and other acupoints with the function of warming Yang and promoting Qi were selected to perform the same manipulation. The operation time of the three groups was different, group A in the morning(8:00-12:00),group B in the afternoon(13:00-17:00),and group C in the evening(18:00-21:00).The intervention was exerted once every other day, three times a week, and the general course of treatment was three months. The drug group was given Broncho-Vaxom capsule 3.5 mg orally on an empty stomach once a day for continuous 10 days a month and the general course was three months. At the end of the course of treatment, the clinical efficacy of the four groups before and after treatment, the incidence and types of diseases in 6 months after the end of treatment were observed.Results:1.A total of 144 cases of RRTI children were enrolled in this study, with 2 in group A and 2 in group B,6 in group C,and 4 in drug group dropping out.A total of 130 cases were completed.2.The baseline of age, gender, growth and development(height, weight),incidence(number of infections, disease types)of the four groups were similar, and there was no statistical significance(P >0.05).3.After treatment, the total effective rates of the four groups were: Tuina group A(94.1%),Tuina group B(91.1%),Tuina group C(83.3%),drug group(90.6%).4.6 months after the end of treatment, the total effective rates of the four groups were: Tuina group A(85.3%),Tuina group B(73.5%),Tuina group C(60.0%),drug group(84.4%).5.The influence of timing-selecting pediatric Tuina and Broncho-Vaxom on clinical symptoms of children with RRTI:(1)The results of intra-group comparison showed that compared with before, the four groups were effective in the treatment of RRTI,and could relieve clinical symptoms such as pale complexion, lack of breath and laziness, shortness of breath, sweating, thin stool, cold limbs and poor appetite(P <0.01).(2)The results of comparison among groups showed that Tuina group A was superior to the other three groups in improving facial color and cold limbs(P<0.0083).The drug group was superior to the other three groups in improving shortness of breath(P <0.0083).Tuina group A,B and C were better than drug group in improving thin stool and poor appetite(P <0.0083).Tuina group A,B and drug group were better than Tuina group C in improving hyperhidrosis(P <0.0083).Tuina group A and B were better than Tuina group C and drug group in improving lack of breath and laziness(P <0.0083).Conclusion:1.The clinical symptoms and respiratory tract infection status of children with RRTI can be effectively relieved by Yang-reinforcing Tuina manipulation at different times of day and Broncho-Vaxom.2.Exerting Yang-boosting manipulation to intervene RRTI in children in the morning, the total effect is better than oral Broncho-Vaxom Tuina treatment and other times of day.3.The treatment of RRTI with pediatric Tuina is safe, the acupoints matching is simplified, the manipulation is simple, and the curative effect is remarkable. |
