Clinical Research Of Detumescent Facial Mask On The Double Eyelid Surgery Swelling

Objective:This thesis aims to explore the therapeutic methods of reducing facial swelling after plastic surgery and speeding up the fading away of postoperative swelling.Detumescent facial masks are used by patients who are undergoing double eyelid surgery.We observe and evaluate the clinical treatment.The results remind us of a new method to treat the regional swelling after blepharoplasty.Method:We choose 60 people who are going to do the double eyelid operation.The 60 cases are randomly divided into 3 groups:treatment group,control group and blank group,20 cases of each group.Treatment group is provided with the detumescent facial masks,which lasted for seven days.Control group is provided with ice treatment for three days and hot treatment for the last four days.Blank group is provided with nothing.The facial photos and B-mode ultrasonographic scan images are recorded at four different time points including the preoperative,1 day postoperative,3 day postoperative and 7 day postoperative.The patients are asked to grade the swelling at three time points preoperative as well.We compare the overall treatment results and evaluate the curative effects of the detumescent facial mask.Results: 1.The increase of the double eyelid width of blank group is the maximum,while the treatment group is the minimum 1 day after surgery.The decrease of the double eyelid width of blank group is the minimum,while the treatment group is the maximum 3 days and 7 days after surgery.2.The increase of the thickness of upper eyelid of blank group is the maximum,while the treatment group is the miniimum 1 day after surgery.The decrease of the thickness of upper eyelid of blank group is the minimum,while the treatment group is the maximum 3 days and 7 days after surgery.3.The patients of treatment group who are provided with the detumescent facial mask give lower score than patients in the control group or blank group.Conclusion: 1?The detumescent facial mask can promote the fading of swelling after double eyelid surgery.And compared to ice and hot treatment at different time points,the repercussive effect of detumescent mask is more apparent.2?People using the detumescent facial masks are mo satisfied than those who are treated with other ways.So,the detumescent facial mask is more convenient and reliable than some other traditional therapies.It also provides a new method for treating regional swelling after facial plastic surgery.3?Combining B-mode ultrasonographic scan with traditional measuring methods can make the results more intuitional and accurate.
