Objective:To compare the clinical effect of embolization of splenic artery and surgical treatment for traumatic rupture of spleen.Methods:40 cases of traumatic splenic rupture in our hospital during the period 2014 to 2018 were collected as subjects,of which 20 were treated with splenic artery embolization;the other 20 patients were compared with the control group. The effects of interventional therapy, postoperative blood pressure and blood cell changes were compared.Operative time, bleeding volume, hospital stay and postoperative complications were compared. Results: All patients in the splenic artery interventional embolization group were successfully treated. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time were lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative blood pressure between the study group and the control group(P>0.05).The leukocyte and platelet counts of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group after interventional therapy, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in abdominal pain between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of postoperative intestinal obstruction in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, postoperative reactive fever and the incidence of pleural effusion was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Selective splenic artery embolization for traumatic splenic rupture is a safe and effective treatment with short treatment time and less trauma.
