Study On Properties Of Self-adhesive Flow Resin

Objectives In this study,we made a comparasion and research among two types of self-adhesive flowable composite resins which were respectively Dyad Flow and Constic and a type of flowable composite resin which was Beautifil Flow Plus and a type of regularly used fissure sealant,Clinpro Sealant.Their characters such as the shear strength,the compressive strength and the flow properties were compared to comprehensively evaluate whether the self-adhesive flowable composite resin meets the requirements of clinical pit and fissure sealing operation,and to provide experimental gist to support for its clinical application.Methods 1.Shear bond strength: 98 premolars were selected and randomly divided into 7 groups(n = 14): group A: Dyad Flow;Group B: Constic;Group C: Acid etch + Dyad Flow;Group D: Acid etch + Constic;Group E: Single Bond+ flowable composite resin;Group F: Acid etch +Single Bond+ flowable composite resin(Control Group);Group G: Acid etch + Clinpro Sealant Pit and Fissure Sealant(Control Group).Preparation of resin column on enamel bonding surface using tetrafluoroethylene cylindrical die(inner diameter 2 mm,height 2mm)according to grouping.Instron electronic universal material tester was used to measure the shear bond strength of each group after storage for 1 day and 30 days.2.Compressive strength: Divided them into four groups: Dyad Flow group,Constic group,flowable composite resin group and Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant group.Resin columns were prepared by tetrafluoroethylene cylindrical die(inner diameter 4 mm,height 4mm)according to the grouping application.The samples were stored at 37 ?,100% humidity for 1 day and 30 days.Instron electronic universal material tester was used to measure the compressive strength of each group after storage for 1 day and 30 days.3.Flow properties: The experiment was divided into four groups: Dyad Flow group,Constic group,flowable composite resin group and Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant group.During the procdure,we assembled four slides on a self-made acrylic bevel bracket(102.0 mm in length and 76.0 mm in width at an angle of 80 °to the horizontal plane).The above-mentioned materials were placed on the surface of the slide with a volume of 0.2 ml.After static 2min and 10 min,a digital caliper was used to measure the flow properties of the materials and a digital camera was used to capture the image.4.Statistical analysis: SPSS 22.0 software was applied to analyze the experimental data One-way ANOVA and LSD pairwise comparison were used for comparison between groups.Paired T test was used for intra-group comparison.The difference was statistically significant when P< 0.05.Results 1.Shear bond strength: The highest shear bond strength was group E(Acid etch +Single Bond+ flowable composite resin),and the lowest was group A(Dyad Flow)(P< 0.05).The shear bond strength of group E(Acid etch +Single Bond+ flowable composite resin)> D(Acid etch + Constic)> G(Acid etch + Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant)> B(Constic),C(Acid etch +Dyad Flow),F(Single Bond+ flowable composite resin)> A(Dyad Flow).There was no significant difference in shear bond strength between B(Constic)and C(Acid etch +Dyad Flow),(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in shear bond strength between C(Acid etch +Dyad Flow)and F(Single Bond+ flowable composite resin),(P>0.05).The shear bond strength of group B(Constic)was greater than that of group F(Single Bond+ flowable composite resin)(P<0.05).After acid etching treatment,the shear bonding strength of two self-adhesive flowable composite resins was significantly improved at 1 and 30 days,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Dyad Flow increases 78.83% and 83.38%,respectively,and Constic increases 67.94% and 66.53%,respectively.After 1 day and 30 days,the shear bonding strength of flowable composite resin was improved by 156.77% and 207.28%,respectively,in the comparison between total etching bonding technology and self-etching bonding technology There was no significant difference in shear bond strength between 1st day and 30 th in each group(P>0.05).2.Compressive strength: The compressive strength from high to low were: flowable composite resin group> Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant group> Constic group,Dyad Flow group(P< 0.05),Constic group and Dyad Flow group have no statistical difference in compressive strength values.The 1-day compressive strength in each group was greater than 30-day compressive strength,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).3.Flow properties: Liquidity: The resin flow length from high to low for 2min and 10 min is Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant group> Dyad Flow group> Constic group> flowable composite resin group(P< 0.05).The resin flow length of Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant group,Dyad Flow group and Constic group for 10 min was greater than that of 2min,and the difference was statistically significant(P< 0.05).The flowing length of resin in flowable composite resin group did not change at 2min and 10minConclusion 1.The enamel shear bond strength of Constic,the self-adhesive flow resin is higher than that of Dyad Flow,the self-adhesive flow resin.However,the shear bond strength of the two self-adhesive flow resins were lower than that of the commonly used clinical sealants,Clinpro Sealant pit.2.When Beautifil Flow Plus flow resin combined with total acid etching technology was applied,its shear bond strength of enamel was significantly higher than that of two self adhesive flow resins.But when combined with self-etching technology,the shear bond strength of enamel is lower than that of Constic self-adhesive flow resin,but still higher than that of Dyad Flow self-adhesive flow resin.3.Acid etching treatment can improve the shear bond strength of Constic and Dyad Flow,the shear bond strength of enamel with Constic self-adhesive flowing resin combined with acid etching can be better than that of Clinpro Sealant pit sealant.4.The compressive strength of Dyad Flow and Constic is the same,which is lower than that of Beautifil Flow Plus flow resin and Clinpro Sealant pit sealant while flowable composite resin is the best 5.The resin flow length of Dyad Flow is longer than Constic,two self-adhesive flowable resins is longer than Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant,and shorter than flowable composite resin.6.Although the performance of self-adhesive flowable composite resin Constic does not reach the level of Clinpro Sealant pit and fissure sealant commonly used in clinic,its operation steps are simplified so the application of Constic can shorten the operation time beside the chair and improve the the efficiency of treatment.In practical clinical application,Constic self-adhesive flow resin combined with acid etching can be used as a good substitute for traditional pit and fissure sealant.
