Objective:To evaluate the predictive value of hematological indexes in children with abdominal Henoch-Sch?nlein purpura.Methods:265 children with HSP were analyzed retrospectively,of which 114 were of simple type and 151 were of abdominal type. The general conditions and hematological indices of the children were collected and analyzed. Results:There were significant differences in gender between the two groups. The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio, white blood cell count, neutrophil count, red blood cell count, hemoglobin, platelet count, thrombocytocrit of children in the abdominal HSP group were higher than those in the simple HSP group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p<0.05).The eosinophil and lymphocyte count of children in the abdominal HSP group was lower than that of chilren in the simple HSP group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(p < 0.05).The best cut-off point of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio was 2.14,sensitivity and specificity were 72.2% and 66.7%,neutrophil count was 6.40,sensitivity and specificity were 64.2% and 79.8%,white blood cell count was 11.56,sensitivity and specificity were 45.0% and 89.5%,respectively.Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio predicted that the best cut-off point of abdominal HSP was 3.20,sensitivity and specificity were 52.4% and 91%,neutrophil count was 6.39,sensitivity and specificity were 64.3% and 82.1%,white blood cell count was 12.14,sensitivity and specificity were 40.5% and 94.9%,respectively.Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio predicted the best cut-off point of abdominal HSP for girls was 2.01,sensitivity and specificity were 73.1% and 72.2%,neutrophil count was 6.44,sensitivity and specificity were 64.2% and 75.0%,white blood cell count was 8.96,sensitivity and specificity were 71.6% and 66.7%,respectively.Conclusion:Compared with simple HSP,the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio, white blood cell count and neutrophil count of abdominal HSP children were significantly increased, which could be used as a convenient and rapid marker for diagnosis of abdominal HSP,especially for early prediction of disease.
