Objective To investigate the characteristics of HRV in patients with essential hypertension at different altitudes and the relationship between LVH and HRV,to further understand the predictive value of HRV for autonomic dysfunction, make HRV a reference indicator for risk stratification of essential hypertension,It provides some practical value for guiding the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of essential hypertension. Methods Based on the above research purposes,we retrospectively analyzed,Collection of patients with essential hypertension in Yinchuan City(1010-1150m)from Long stay(>30 years)who was admitted to the Department of Cardiology of the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from December 2017 to December 2018 as a low-altitude group; The patients with essential hypertension who were admitted to the Department of Cardiology or Inpatient Department of Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital from December 2017 to December 2018 in Xining(>30 years)were selected as high-altitude groups,The same period of health checkups as a control group.First, analyze the general clinical data of the respective hypertension and healthy controls in the two places,Secondly, compare the HRV related indexes of combined left ventricular hypertrophy and left ventricular hypertrophy,Finally, the changes of HRV in patients with essential hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy at different altitudes were compared. The data were analyzed by SPSS23.0 statistical software,The count data was expressed as[n(%)],and the?~2test was used. The measurement data was expressed as x±s,and the t test was used. The test level was set to?=0.05,p<0.05.The difference was statistically significant. Results There were 117 patients with essential hypertension group in Yinchuan,Ningxia,98 patients in healthy control group. The mean age, drinking history,BMI,family history of hypertension, and creatinine, blood glucose, and total cholesterol were statistically significant between the two groups. In terms of heart rate comparison, only the fastest heart rate was statistically different between the two groups(p<0.05).Among the HRV indexes(SDNN,SDNN,SDNN,PNN50)in the hypertensive combined with left ventricular hypertrophy group and the left ventricular hypertrophy group,SDANN,rMSSD,and PNN50 were statistically different between the two groups(p<0.05).Similarly,81 patients with essential hypertension were enrolled in Xining,Qinghai, and 78 patients in the healthy control group. The differences in smoking history,BMI,family history of hypertension, and creatinine, triglycerides, and total cholesterol in the general data.Statistically significant(p<0.05).In terms of heart rate comparison, the fastest heart rate was statistically different between the two groups(p<0.05).Among the HRV indexes of hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy and those without left ventricular hypertrophy,SDNN,SDANN,rMSSD,and PNN50 were statistically different between the two groups(p<0.05).Finally,in the HRV comparison of essential hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy at different altitudes in the two regions, the fastest heart rate of hypertensive patients in high altitude areas was statistically different from that in low altitude hypertensive patients(p<0.05);Among the HRV indexes of patients with essential hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy in two places,SDNN,SDANN,rMSSD and PNN50 were statistically different between the two groups(p<0.05).Conclusion The HRV of patients with essential hypertension decreased, the left ventricular hypertrophy decreased more significantly, and the autonomic nervous system regulation function was impaired. The natural environment in the plateau region has a more significant effect on HRV in EH patients than in plain areas. As a quantitative and reproducible non-invasive detection method,HRV analysis has important reference value for evaluating autonomic nerve function and prognosis of EH patients at high altitude, especially those with LVH.
