Clinical Observation Of Silver Needle Thermal Conduction Therapy In The Treatment Of Third Lumbar Transverse Process Syndrome

Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of silver needle thermo-conduction therapy with common needle acupuncture in the treatment of transverse process syndrome of third lumbar vertebra and search a more convenient and effective method for the clinical treatment.Methods: To gather the patients of outpatient treatment in our department in Qinghai Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese Medicine who meet the inclusion criteria and divide them into two groups randomly: silver needle group and routine acupuncture group.In order to observe the efficacy of via silver needle thermoconduction therapy in the treatment of transverse process syndrome of third lumbar vertebra,we compare the improvement of VAS score,ODI score of low back pain and clinical symptoms before treatment,one course of treatment and two courses of treatment between the two groups.Meanwhile,we use statistical software to analyze the results and draw a conclusion.Results: The VAS score of the post-treatment was significantly lower than prior treatment in silver needle group(P<0.01)and the VAS score of the post-treatment was also significantly lower than prior treatment in routine acupuncture group(P<0.01),silver needle was better than acupuncture needle in relieving pain(P<0.05).The ODI score of the post-treatment was significantly lower than prior treatment in silver needle group(P<0.01)and the ODI score of the post-treatment was also significantly lower than prior treatment in routine acupuncture group(P<0.01),silver needle group was more effective than acupuncture needle group in improving lumbar motor dysfunction(P<0.05).The curative effect of silver needle group was better than that of routine acupuncture group(P<0.01).Conclusions: Silver needle thermo-conduction therapy can relieve the lumbar pain symptoms in patients with transverse process syndrome of third lumbar vertebra effectively.Silver needle thermo-conduction therapy can improve lumbar function in patients with transverse process syndrome of third lumbar vertebra effectively.In terms of the cure rate and clinical efficacy,silver needle thermo-conduction therapy is better than common acupuncture in the treatment of transverse process syndrome of third lumbar vertebra.Silver needle thermo-conduction therapy has the advantages of significant curative effect,selective acupuncture refining,simple operation and less times of needling.The therapy is worth promoting.
