Clinical Observation Of Huanglian Ointment Combined With Elephant Skin Powder In Treating Venous Leg Ulcers

Objective:to observe the clinical effect of huanglian ointment combined with xiangpi powder in treating venous ulcer of lower extremity.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria of venous ulcer of lower extremity,40 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,20 cases in each group After the basic debridement treatment of the two groups of patients,the treatment group was applied with coptis paste and elephantium powder,and the control group was given Mupirocin ointment.Both the treatment group and the control group changed dressing once a day,7 days for a course of treatment.The ulcer surface was observed before treatment,7 days after treatment,14 days after treatment,21 days after treatment,and 28 days after treatment.The ulcer surface was graded according to the quantitative evaluation table for quantitative scoring.A database was established,and the obtained data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 21.0 statistical software.Results:1.Baseline data:the two groups of patients were compared in terms of gender,age,BMI,course of disease and ulcer area,and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05),indicating comparability.2.Efficacy of various observation indicators:after treatment,there were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group in ulcer area reduction rate,granulation tissue filling rate,ulcer surface color,ulcer exudation,pain,limb edema,numbness and itching(P<0.05).3.Overall clinical efficacy:after 28 days of treatment,the total effective rate of the treatment group was 90%;The total effective rate was 60%in the control group.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.043<0.05).Safety index evaluation:No adverse reactions such as skin pruritus and rash occurred in both groups,and no abnormalities were found in the routine examination of blood,urine,feces and liver and kidney function.Conclusion:1.The overall efficacy of huanglian ointment combined with elephantium powder in the treatment of venous ulcer of lower extremity is better than Mupirocin ointment.2.Coptis paste combined with elephantium powder can promote the formation of granulation tissue on the wound surface,improve the exudation of local tissue on the wound surface,relieve the pain,edema,numbness or pruritus of the affected limb,and accelerate the healing of ulcer,with significant curative effect.
