Objective:To observe the clinical effect of dehumidifying and activating blood, supplementing qi and nourishing yin combined with Western medicine in the treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods:From March 2019 to December 2019,60 inpatients and outpatients in the Department of traditional Chinese medicine of Liuzhou people's Hospital were selected as the study objects, and the patients were divided into treatment group and control group with random number table method. The control group was treated with Methotrexate(MTX)+Leflunomide(LEF)+Nimesulide dispersible tablets, and the treatment group was treated with Chinese herbal medicine on the basis of the control group, with a course of 12 weeks. The symptoms and signs,Chinese medicine syndrome score, disease activity score(DAS28),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),c-reactive protein(CRP),rheumatoid factor(RF),anti-cyclic citrulline polypeptide antibody(AntiCCP),anti-keratin antibody(AKA)and related safety indexes were observed before and after treatment. The data were analyzed statistically to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the traditional Chinese medicine for dehumidifying and activating blood, supplementing qi and nourishing yin in the treatment of active RA.Results:(1)The total effective rate of the two groups was 93.33% in the treatment group and 70.00% in the control group. The difference betweenthe two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the total effective rate of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(2)The levels of ESR,CRP and RF in the two groups were lower than before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05),and the improvement effect of ESR,CRP and RF in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P < 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the comparison of anti-ccp and AKA within and between the two groups(P >0.05).There was no improvement in the positive rate of Anti-ccp and AKA in the treatment group and the control group.(3)DAS28 scores of the two groups were significantly different from those before treatment(P< 0.05).After treatment, the disease activity of the two groups was improved, and the improvement degree of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.(4)After treatment, joint pain, joint swelling, joint tenderness, adverse flexion and extension, morning stiffness, fatigue and overall syndrome were improved in both groups(P< 0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).In terms of the improvement of symptoms of lumbar and knee tenderness and thirst, there was no significant difference before and after treatment in the control group(P > 0.05),while there was significant difference before and after treatment in the treatment group(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment group had an obvious advantage in improving symptoms of lumbar and knee tenderness and thirst in RA patients.(5)There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the treatment group(3.33%)and the control group(16.67%)(P > 0.05).Conclusions:The combination of traditional Chinese medicine todehumidifying and activating blood, supplementing qi and nourishing yin combined with Western medicine can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs, related inflammatory indicators, and the degree of disease activity, which is suitable for clinical application.
