PurposeTrace elements play a significant role in human body, and diet is the main way to ingest trace elements.Currently, the studies of domestic and foreign on trace elements and dietary nutrition have made important progress in assisting diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The prerequisite for having a healthy body is to have a reasonable diet and to maintain a balance of trace elements in the body.In this study,Knowledge-Attitude-Practice(KAP)of students combined with 24-hour dietary review questionnaire was used to assess the effects of various nutrient intakes on trace elements in the body. The correlation between physical fitness and trace elements was analyzed by using physical test scores and trace element content analysis.By analyzing the differences of trace elements in students' hair,we can guide students' dietary nutrition, evaluate the impact of physical exercise and physical health on students' health, then intervene in the physical health of students through the combination of dietary nutrition and physical exercise.Which can provide an effective and scientific basis for improving the health of students.MethodA total of 184 nursing students from a certain college in Zhaoqing were selected?and a questionnaire survey was conducted through KAP combined with a 24-hour diet review method. The trace elements of hair samples were determined by THERMO X Series ? quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer.Health fitness tests were conducted by qualified professional in accordance with the items and methods specified in the National Student Physical Health Standards(2014).Results1.Nutritional knowledge scores were good.74.46%of students in the Nutritional Attitude Survey actively took the initiative to understand nutrition knowledge.Diet was not balanced, food consumption level was low,and intake of vegetables, milk beverage, and aquatic products did not reach the intake.Which resulted in insufficient intake of energy and fat,and imbalance of vitamin intake.2.The overall level of physical health was in the passing stage.A high proportion students had normal range of the BMI index. The 800-metre run results had the highest failing rate. The 1-minute sit-ups and standing long jumps were the best.3.184 students had the highest zinc-emitting rate.Calcium, iron and manganese were severely deficient.Arsenic was at low exposure levels.4.Fat,protein,carbohydrates and vitamins affected the balance of trace elements.Among which calcium was positively correlated with vitamin A,protein and nutrient iron, copper and magnesium.Positive correlation also occurred between magnesium and vitamin A,vitamin C,nutrient calcium and between manganese, vitamin C and nutrient zinc(P<0.05);there were negative correlation between zinc and carbohydrate and between copper and fat(P<0.05).5.The main trace elements affecting the physique health test level were magnesium, zinc, copper, iron and manganese.Among them, there were positive correlation between magnesium and 1 minute sit-ups,zinc and 50 meters, copper and weight and lung capacity, iron and 800-meters run(P<0.05);zinc and magnesium were negatively correlated with 800-meter.Manganese was negatively correlated with height and 1 minute sit-ups as well as lung capacity(P<0.05).Conclusion1.In this study, the dietary survey found that students' dietary consumption level was low, dietary behavior was unreasonable, and the intake of fat, carbohydrates and vitamins was insufficient.2.Dietary intake lead to excessive levels of zinc and copper in the hair of students, and the lack of iron and manganese.Arsenic is in low exposure, which affects the imbalance of trace elements in students.3.The level of students' health ability was also impacted by trace elements.Among them, the effects of magnesium, zinc, copper, iron and manganese on the physical health level of students were statistically significant.
