ObjectivePromotion the use of a mobile nursing application need to be adopted by both nurses and patients. In this study, from the perspective of nurses, the behavioral intention model of a mobile nursing application for clinical nurses was constructed to explore the influencing factors of nurses' behavioral intention toward a mobile nursing application.Provide strategic recommendations for the promotion, design, and implementation of a mobile nursing applications based on the research results.MethodsOn the basis of reading and collating related literature, this study based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model, perceived risk theory,self-efficacy theory, and perceived incentives theory to put forward research hypotheses and build a research model of clinical nurses' a mobile nursing application behavioral intention. This study used self-designed questionnaires. It is convenient to sample 1,207 clinical nurses in Shandong Province for online questionnaire survey. The questionnaires include:the questionnaire of demographic characteristics of nurses, the questionnaire of smartphone usage by clinical nurses, the questionnaire for awareness of a mobile nursing application, the questionnaire for the functional requirements of a mobile nursing application, the questionnaire of behavioral intention and influencing factors of a mobile nursing application.SPSS 19.0 and Amos 21.0 were used for analysis. The statistical methods included descriptive statistics, reliability and validity test, independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance and structural equation model.Results1.Status of clinical nurses' awareness of a mobile nursing applicationAmong 1,207 clinical nurses in Shandong Province,769(63.71%)nurses had heard of a mobile nursing application,289(23.94%)nurses had used a mobile nursing application, and 1025(84.92%)nurses had recognized a mobile nursing application as a supplement to nursing.2.Status of clinical nurses' functional requirements for a mobile nursing applicationAmong the common functions of a mobile nursing application nurse port, clinical nurses had the highest requirements for health care functions and the lowest demand for nursing information functions;among the common functions of a mobile nursing application patient ports, clinical nurses had the highest requirements for drug reminder functions and the lowest demand for data recording functions.3.The average score of clinical nurses' behavioral intention and influencing factors of a mobile nursing applicationThe average behavioral intention score of 1207 clinical nurses on the use of mobile nursing apps was 4.13±0.85;the average score of Performance Expectation was 4.33 ± 0.78;the average score of Effort Expectation was 3.92 ± 0.86;the average score of Social Influence was 4.03±0.82;the average score of Facilitating Condition was 4.38 ±0.75;the average score of Perceived Risk was 3.42±1.02;the average score of Self-efficacy was 3.91±0.84;the average score of Perceived Incentives was 3.71 ±1.14.4.Reliability and validity test of the questionnaire of behavioral intention and influencing factors of a mobile nursing application used by clinical nursesThe Cronbach's ? coefficient of each factor in the questionnaire of clinical nurses'a mobile nursing application behavioral intention and influencing factors was 0.880?0.955.In the confirmatory factor analysis, the fitting index of each factor was good(x2//df=4.540,GFI=0.934,NFI=0.963,IFI=0.971,CFI=0.971,RMSEA=0.054).The standardized factor load of each factor measurement item was 0.782?0.954,each factor AVE was 0.713?0.879,and each factor CR was 0.881?0.956.5.Structural equation analysis of behavioral intention model of a mobile nursing application for clinical nursesStructural equation model validation results showed that Performance Expectation,Social Influence,Facilitating Condition,Self-efficacy and Perceived Incentives positively affected the behavioral intention of a mobile nursing application for clinical nurses, and the path coefficients were 0.259,0.296,0.063,0.344 and 0.091 respectively(P<0.05).The effect of Effort Expectation and Perceived Risk on the behavioral intention of clinical nurses to a mobile nursing application were not established(P>0.05).Good model fitting indicators for behavioral intention model of a mobile nursing application for clinical nurses(x2/df=4.540?GFI=0.934?NFI=0.963?IFI=0.971?CFI=0.971?RMSEA=0.054).It could explain 70%of the total variation of clinical nurses' behavioral intention to use a mobile nursing application(adjusted R2=0.702,P<0.001).Conclusions1.Clinical nurses have a high reputation for a mobile nursing application and high functional requirements.2.The clinical nurses' behavioral intention to use a mobile nursing application is at a high level3.Performance Expectation,Social Influence,Facilitating Condition,Self-efficacy and Perceived Incentives positively affected the behavioral intention of a mobile nursing application for clinical nurses.
