| Background:Central precocious puberty(CPP)is a common pediatric endocrine disease.It’ s caused by the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis activated prematurely,leading to girls develop secondary sexual characteristics before the age of eight.Foreign studies have found that CPP girls have higher level of triglyceride(TC)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)than normal pubertal girls,but high density lipoprotein(HDL)/total cholesterol(TG)ratio were reduced.The earlier of girls’ pubertal development,the abnormality of lipid metabolism was more obvious.Dyslipidemia in children and adolescents can not only directly harm children’s health,but also be closely related to the occurrence of adult atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.Early detection and effective intervention can improve children’s overall health.Whether pediatricians can pre-judge dyslipidemia and pre-screen children who need to analyze the level of blood lipid by analyze data of body composition is a hot topic in clinical strategy research in children with CPP.Objective:To observe the characteristics of body composition and blood lipid level in CPP girls.To analyze the correlation between the index of body composition and blood lipid level in CPP girls.To analyze the predictive value of the index of body composition to blood lipid level in CPP girls.Methods:In our study,we selected 100 CPP girls from the outpatients of pediatric endocrinology department of Boai Hospital of Zhongshan affiliated to Southern Medical University from July to October 2019.All girls were measured height and weight.InBody S10 human Body composition instrument was used to measure the body composition index,such as total body water(TBW),intracellular water(ICW),extracellular water(ECW),skeletal muscle mass(SMW),body fat mass(FAT),percent body fat(PBF),body mass index(BMI),body cell mass(BCM),bone mineral content(BMC),arm circumference(AC),arm muscle circumference(AMC),visceral fat area(VFA),basal metabolic rate(BMR)and other indexs and analyze the types of body composition.At the same time,we collected the fast blood samples to measure the level of blood lipid(TC、TG、HDL-C、LDL-C).Results:1.For CPP girls,normal weight/healthy type decreased,accounting for only 49.0%.The types of obesity(overweight/weak type,overweight/obese type,normal weight/obesity type)increased,accounting for a total of 29.0%.Types of thinness(low weight/weak type and normal weight/weak type)increased,accounting for a total of 22.0%.2.ICW,ECW,protein mass,inorganic mass,SMM,FAT,PBF,BMI,BCM,BMC,AC,AMC,waist circumference,VFA,and BMR all increased with age,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of TBW,FAT,PBF,SMM were higher than those of healthy girls of the same age in the literature.3.Serum TG levels increased with age,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The changes of serum TC,HDL-C,LDL-C levels with age were not obvious,and the differences were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Serum levels of TG,TC and HDL-C were higher than those of healthy girls of the same age in the literature.4.ICW,ECW,protein mass,inorganic mass,SMM,FAT,PBF,BMI,BCM,BMC,AC,AMC,waist circumference,VFA,and BMR were positively correlated with serum TG levels and negatively correlated with serum HDL-C levels.(P<0.05)5.AC was statistically significant in the serum TG stepwise regression model(P<0.05).BMI was statistically significant in the serum HDL-C stepwise regression model(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.In girls,both obesity type and thinness type can have CPP.2.The body composition index of CPP girls is different from that of healthy girls at the same age.3.The lipid level of CPP girls is different from that of healthy girls at the same age.4.The index of body composition is correlated with the levels of blood lipid for CPP girls.5.For CPP girls,the results of body composition examination has a certain predictive value for serum lipid levels. |
