Research On The Needs Of Long-term Care Services For The Disabled Elderly In Shenyang City

With the improvement of living standards,the average life span of the population in China is continuously extended,and the elderly population is increasing day by day.With the increase of age,the physical condition and self-care ability of the elderly have declined significantly,so there is a special group of disabled elderly.Most of the disabled people are semi disabled people with chronic diseases.Their care is a long-term process,so they need long-term care services.China's social security system is becoming more and more perfect,but compared with developed countries,the relevant system for long-term care is still relatively lacking.To study the demand and influencing factors of the disabled elderly in Shenyang for long-term care services is conducive to promoting the establishment of long-term care system and the improvement of pension service system in Shenyang.Based on the consideration of the above problems and the related research of scholars,this paper takes the disabled elderly in Shenyang as the research object to analyze their demand for long-term care services.Through sorting out the literature and consulting materials,we can understand the current situation of the long-term care service for the disabled elderly in Shenyang and at home and abroad,and understand the demand and influencing factors of the disabled elderly for the long-term care service in Shenyang through the method of questionnaire survey.At the same time,we can put forward solutions to the problems of the long-term care service for the disabled elderly in Shenyang.According to the survey,most of the disabled people in Shenyang suffer from chronic diseases,and the proportion of the semi disabled people is relatively large,and they have a high demand and dependence on long-term care services.In terms of the demand for long-term care services,disabled elderly people are more inclined to family care and institutional care services.The higher the degree of disability,the more likely they are to choose institutional care services.Age,number of children and economic ability are also the more important influencing factors for disabled elderly people to choose long-term care services.With the improvement of people's living standards,the demand for long-term care services is not only at the basic level of life care,but also for medical care and psychological comfort.However,due to the imperfection of the relevant system of long-term care services and the lack of funds,the development of long-term care is slow,forming a situation of insufficient effective supply and unbalanced supply and demand.Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward countermeasures to improve the long-term care service of disabled elderly in Shenyang,including speeding up the establishment of long-term care insurance system,broadening financing channels,strengthening the training of professional nursing personnel and improving the supply system.
