Objective:To investigate TCM syndrome elements distribution characteristics of retinal vein occlusion(RVO),and provide a new theoretical reference for the diagnosis and treatment of TCM syndromes. To analyze the correlation between RVO of different etiology and subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT),and to discuss the influencing factors of SFCT,in order to improve the understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of RVO and provide some reference for the prevention and treatment of RVO.Methods:A prospective study was conducted to select 67 patients(69 eyes)diagnosed with RVO in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM from July 2019 to December 2019,RVO with clear etiology was set as group A and primary RVO with unknown etiology as group B.The general data, ophthalmic examination and four diagnoses date of TCM were collected.Among them,SFCT values were measured in 33 eyes(33 eyes)of patients who were not treated with vitreous cavity injection, retinal laser photocoagulation, and vitrectomy.Spss23.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results:1?There was no difference between the two groups in the distribution of disease and location syndrome elements of TCM(P>0.05).2?Among the disease syndrome elements, the proportion of the two syndrome elements in group A was the largest(59.46%),followed by three syndrome elements(32.43%),and the proportion of the single syndrome element was the smallest(8.12%);the proportion of the two syndrome elements in group B was the largest(70%),followed by the single syndrome element(23.33%),and the compound of the three syndrome elements was the least(6.67%).Among location syndrome elements, the proportion of single syndrome elements(51.35%)is slightly larger than two syndrome elements(48.65%)in group A,and the proportion of single syndrome elements(83.33%)is much larger than two syndrome elements(16.67%)in group B.There were differences in the distribution of RVO pathological factors and compound syndrome elements between the two groups(P<0.05).There were differences in the distribution of the disease and location complex syndrome elements between the two groups(P<0.05).3?With the development of the course of disease, the proportion of sthenia syndrome in disease syndrome elements gradually decreased, and the proportion of deficiency syndrome gradually increased.Liver accounted for the largest proportion of bleeding period, liver and kidney accounted for the largest proportion in stasis period, and liver, kidney, and lung accounted for the largest proportion during the dead and dry blood periods.4?The average SFCT of the affected and healthy eyes in group A were 304.39± 27.75?m? 235.28 ± 26.23?m,and in group B were 334.13 ± 38.70?m ?255.07 ± 29.17?m.5?There was a significant difference of SFCT between affected eyes with healthy eyes in group A,between affected eyes with healthy eyes in group B,between affected eyes in group A and B,and between healthy eyes in group A and B(P<0.05).6?The affected eyes SFCT of patients with hypertension or diabetes in group A was significantly different from that in group B(P<0.05).7?There was no significant difference between SFCT with different RVO classification and type(P>0.05).8?Comparison of SFCT and different course of RVO,P<0.05 difference was statistically significant.Pairwise comparison between groups,?15 days and 15-45 days?15-45 days and>45 days compared,P>0.05 differences were not statistically significant,? 15 days and>45 days compared, difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).9?There was no significant difference in the SFCT of disease and location syndrome elements of RVO(P>0.05).Conclusion:1?In RVO patients, blood stasis,qi stagnation and qi deficiency are the main disease syndrome elements, while liver, kidney and lung are the main location syndrome elements.2?The composition of composite syndrome elements of RVO patients with risk factors is more complex than those without risk factors.3?With the development of the disease course, the proportion of sthenia syndrome gradually decreased, the proportion of deficiency syndrome gradually increased. The proportion of qi deficiency and lung syndrome increased in the later stage of RVO.4?The SFCT in RVO eyes was thicker than that in the contralateral healthy eyes, but the SFCT in RVO eyes showed a downward trend with the progression of the disease, suggesting that there might be abnormal choroidal vascular function in RVO lesions.5?The SFCT of RVO patients with risk factors was thinner than those without risk factors, and the SFCT of RVO patients with hypertension or diabetes was thinner than RVO without risk factors, suggesting that the risk factors of RVO,such as hypertension and diabetes, may be one of the factors that affect the SFCT of RVO eyes.6?Different classifications?types and TCM syndromes elements of RVO had no significant effect on SFCT.
