Background:Lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, the pathogenesis is not clear, cell immunity plays an important role in the pathogenesis of lichen planus.S100A8/A9 protein belongs to damage-associated molecular patterns, which plays an important role in a variety of inflammatory, tumor and autoimmune diseases, but its role in lichen planus is only reported in foreign countries, and there is no relevant research reported in China.Objectives:1.To explore the role of S100A8/A9 protein in the pathogenesis of lichen planus by detecting the expression level of S100A8/A9 protein in serum of patients with lichen planus and normal people,so as to provide theoretical basis for the new treatment strategy of lichen planus;2.To compare the expression of S100A8/A9 protein before and after treatment in patients treated with acitretin A,and to explore whether S100A8/A9 protein can be used as a serum marker to evaluate the therapeutic effect of lichen planus.Methods:40 patients with lichen planus confirmed in Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of engineering from January 2019 to August 2019 were collected as case group,20 healthy people randomly selected from physical examination center of our hospital at the same time were collected as control group, and 20 patients in case group were randomly selected, after 8 weeks of treatment with acitretin A,to evaluate the treatment effect. After effective treatment, the serum samples of patients were collected again The protein level of S100A8/A9 in the serum of the subjects was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and analyzed statistically.Results:1.The sex ratio of the case group was 1.86:1,and that of the control group was 1.22:1.There was no significant difference(χ 2 = 0.56,P > 0.05).The average age of the case group and the control group were 51.38 ± 14.13 and 50.70 ± 12.72 years old, respectively. There was no significant difference(t =-0.18,P > 0.05).2.The expression level of S100A8 / A9 protein in the serum of patients with lichen planus was significantly higher than that of the control group(t = 5.09,P < 0.001).3.In the treatment group,3 cases were dropped and terminated.Among the 17 patients treated with acitretin A,4 cases were cured,11 cases were markedly effective,2 cases were improved,0 cases were ineffective, and the sum of cured, markedly effective and improved was 17 cases.4.the expression of S100A8/A9 protein in the serum of patients with lichen planus after the effective treatment of acitretin A was significantly lower than that before the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(t = 19.47,P < 0.001).Conclusions:1.The expression level of S100A8/A9 protein in the peripheral blood serum of patients with lichen planus was significantly higher than that of the healthy control group, indicating that S100A8/A9 protein may participate in the occurrence and development of lichen planus.2.The expression level of S100A8/A9 protein in serum of patients with lichen planus after effective treatment with acitretin A was significantly lower than that before treatment, indicating that S100A8/A9 protein is expected to become one of the indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment of lichen planus.
