Part one Expression and clinical significance of EGFR and C-myc in or- al lichen planus in ERK signaling pathwayObjective: The expression and significance of EGFR and C-myc in oral lichen planus was studied. The correlation between EGFR and C-myc expression was analyzed to investigate the role of ERK signaling pathway in the carcinogenesis of oral lichen planus. Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of EGFR and C-myc in 75 cases of oral lichen planus,30 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma and 15 cases of normal oral mucosa.Statistical analysis was performed on the experimental data using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software.Because of the experimental data was count data, the chi-square test was used.According to the bilateral test standard ?=0.05,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Correlation analysis of EGFR and C-myc was performed using Spearman correlation analysis, and P < 0.01 was considered statistically significant.Results:1.Positive staining for EGFR showed brown-yellow particles in the cell membrane, and C-myc stained positively with brown-yellow particles in the nucleus. In normal oral mucosa,EGFR and C-myc were trace expressed. In oral lichen,EGFR and C-myc expression were determined of 52.0% and 41.3%,respectively.In addition, the EGFR and C-myc expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma were 86.7% and 90.0%,separately.The expressions of EGFR and C-myc in NOM and OLP were statistically different(P<0.05),and the expressions of OLP and OSCC were significantly different(P<0.05),and the expressions in NOM and OSCC were statistically different(P<0.05).2.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the expression of EGFR was positively correlated with the expression of C-myc(r=0.517,P<0.01).Conclusion: ERK signaling pathway may be an important pathway for the transition of OLP to OSCC.EGFR and C-myc may be an early indicator to judge the deterioration of oral lichen planus.Part two Relationship of Ki67,COX-2 on oral lichen planus erosion and carcinogenesisObjective: To investigate the correlation of COX-2 ? Ki67 on clinicopathological characteristics of oral lichen planus. Methods: 75 cases of OLP were selected, including 60 cases of non-erosive oral lichen planus(NEOLP),15 cases of Erosive oral lichen planus(EOLP)and 30 cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma. And 15 cases of normal oral mucosal tissue, negative control,Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of COX-2 and Ki67.The experimental data were statistically analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software.Because the experimental data is count data, the chi-square test was used.According to the bilateral test standard ?=0.05,P<0.05 was considered statistically significant.Correlation analysis of COX-2 and Ki67 was performed using Spearman correlation analysis, and P<0.01 was considered statistically significant.Results:1.The expression of COX-2 and Ki67 in normal NOM,non-erosive OLP,erosive OLP as well as OSCC were gradually gradually and correlated positively(r=0.598,P<0.01).2.The expression of COX-2 and Ki67 in NOM and NEOLP without significant statistical(P>0.05),while the expressions in NEOLP,EOLP and OSCC with significant statistical(P<0.05).3.There was no significant correlation of COX-2 and Ki67 expression, gender, age and location, but it was related to OLP erosion closely(P<0.05).Conclusion: COX-2 and Ki67 had an effect on the erosion of OLP.The expression was correlated positively. Thus, the results demonstrated that COX-2 and Ki67 had a certain relationship, interaction, and participate in the carcinogenesis of erosion OLP.
