Objective: 1.To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of the yin and yang balancing acupuncture method in treating Non-erosive reflux disease(NERD).2.Observing the effect of the yin and yang balancing acupuncture method on the levels of the gastrin and motilin of NERD patients to provide a direction for the study of acupuncture in treating NERD.Methods: 62 patients who were suffering from non-erosive reflux disease were randomly divided into two groups(the treatment group and the control group),and 31 patients were in each group. The treatment group was treated by yin and yang balancing acupuncture method, and the control group was treated by conventional western medicine method. The treatment group was treated by using GV20?PC6?ST36?LR 3?BL 20?BL 21?CV6?CV12?ST25?SP10 as acupuncture points(once every other day, retained for 30 minutes each time, three times a week).Among them, patients with discomfort in the throat plus RN22,those who have difficulty swallowing plus RN23,those with sleep disorders plus SP6,HT7,patients with chronic cough plus BL13,LU5 and those with asthma plus BL13,EX-B1.Patirnts in the control group were treated with Omegaprazole(twice a day,20 mg each time)and Mosapride(three times a day,5mg each time). Both groups treated for 12 weeks.Score of clinical symptom?the level of gastrin and motilin ?gastroesophageal reflux disease-health related quality of life(GERD-HRQL)?Gastrointestinal quality of life index(GIQLI)?hospital anxiety and depression scale(HADS)scores were used to observe the efficacy of the two kinds of treatment. Results: 1.Clinical Syndrome Scores: When treated for 6th week,12 th week and 16 th week, the clinical syndrome scores of NERD patients in the two groups were significantly decreased(P<0.01)compared with those before treatment. After 6 weeks' treatment, the scores of clinical syndromes in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.01),while the scores of the patients in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group at 12 th and 16 th week(P<0.01).2.Main single symptom scores: The effective rates of heartburn, acid reflux,post-sternal pain, nausea, and hernia in the treatment group were 83.33%,90%,93.33%,33.33%,and 96.67%,respectively,while it was 63.33%,93.33%,90%,53.33%,80% in the control group. The effective rates of hernia in the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference between the other single symptoms(P>0.05).3.HADS scores: The HADS-A scores of NERD patients in the two groups were significantly decreased after 12 week and 16 weeks' treatment(P<0.01).The HADS-D scores of patients in the treatment group were significantly decreased when they were treared for 6th week,12 th week, and 16 th week(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01),while those in control group were decreased after 12 weeks' treatment(P<0.05).There was no difference in HADS-A scores between the patients(P>0.05).The HADS-D scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group at 12 th and 16 th weeks(P<0.01).4.Gastric esophageal reflux disease quality of life scores(GRED-HRQL): The GERD-HRQL scores of the two groups were decreased after treatment(P<0.01).The GERD-HRQL scores of the patients in the treatment group at 6th week,12 th week and 16 th week were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).5.Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index scores(GIQLI): Compared with before treatment, the GIQLI scores of the treatment group were increased at 6th week,12 th week, and 16 th week(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.01),and the GIQLI scores of the control group were increased at 6th week and 12 th week(P<0.01).The GIQLI scores of the patients in the treatment group were higher than those of the control at 6th,12 th and 16 th week.Group(P<0.01,P<0.05,P<0.01,respectively).6.Gastrin and motilin content: Compared with before treatment, serum GAS and MTL levels in the two groups were increased after 12 weeks' treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).7.The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 83.33% and 60% respectively, and the difference was obviously(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The yin and yang balancing acupuncture method is effective in improving the symptoms of NERD patients and reducing the recurrence rate.It is a safe and effective treatment for NERD.2.Yin and Yang balance balancing acupuncture method can significantly improve the patient's main symptoms of acid reflux,heartburn,post-sternal pain and discomfort, and suffocation, and can significantly improve the patient's depression and improve the quality of life of patients.3.The level of gastrin and motilin can be significantly improved by using Yin and yang balance balancing acupuncture method, suggesting that acupuncture may achieve the clinical effect of treating NERD by regulating the secretion of gastrointestinal hormones.
