Objective: To study the subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)of children with different degrees of myopia and the relationship between related factors. Methods: A total of 60 myopia children aged 5-14 years were selected with 120 eyes and divided into different refractive groups according to equivalent spherical equivalent(SE),with 40 eyes in mild, moderate and high myopia groups,to analyze and compare the factors that change with the development of myopia. In addition, the enhanced depth scanning mode of optical coherence tomography(EDI-OCT)was applied to measure SFCT,to compare the changes of SFCT between the groups with different degrees of myopia, and pearson correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to analyze the relevant factors of SFCT.Results: There were statistically significant differences in intraocular pressure, equivalent sphericity, axial length, horizontal corneal curvature, vertical corneal curvature and subfoveal choroidal thickness between the myopia groups of different degrees(P<0.05).The equivalent sphericity, axial length and subfoveal choroidal thickness showed statistical differences in the mild, moderate and high myopia groups(P<0.05),while the intraocular pressure, gender and family history of myopia only showed statistical differences between the mild and high myopia groups(P<0.05).There was a certain correlation between SFCT and axial length, equivalent sphericity, intraocular pressure, gender, and family history of myopia, while there was no significant correlation between SFCT and horizontal corneal curvature, vertical corneal curvature, and age. There was an obvious linear relationship between axial length and subfoveal choroidal thickness, but there was no obvious linear relationship between other factors. Conclusions: With the deepening of myopia in children, the intraocular pressure, axial length, horizontal corneal curvature, vertical corneal curvature and subfoveal choroidal thickness changed. The equivalent spherical degree, axial length and choroidal thickness under fovea were all changed in children with mild, moderate and high myopia, while the intraocular pressure, gender and family history of myopia were only different in children with mild myopia and high myopia. In children with myopia, subfoveal choroidal thickness is correlated with axial length, equivalent sphericity, intraocular pressure, gender, and family history of myopia, but not with horizontal corneal curvature, vertical corneal curvature, and age.Multiple linear model of SFCT and ocular axis: SFCT(um)=891.27-22.485*AL(mm).
