Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Peripheral Facial Paralysis By Row Acupuncture At Multiple Groups Of Jingjin

Objective:In this study,through the clinical observation of row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis,we compared the improvement of facial nerve function by two treatment methods.We also evaluated the advantages of row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN to explore more effective acupuncture methods for treating peripheral facial paralysis.Methods:In this study,60 patients with peripheral facial paralysis,who come from the outpatient department of Acupuncture Department of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and meet the inclusion criteria of this study,will be randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,30 in each group.The patients in the two groups were given routine western medicine treatment,on the basis of which,the treatment group was mainly treated with row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN combined with head and limbs acupuncture.The control group was treated with routine acupuncture once a day,five days of treatment and two days of rest per week,2 weeks as a course of treatment.House-Brackmann(H-B)score of facial nerve function and facial disability index(FDI)were performed before and after treatment.We evaluated the curative effect after treatment,collectd and organized data.SPSS21.0 statistical software package was used to process and analyze the counting data.By chi-square test,the measurement data is described by mean ± standard deviation(x ±s).If the distribution is normal and the variance is homogeneous,t-test is used;if not,rank sum test is used.The clinical grade data were also analyzed by rank sum test.In this study,P < 0.05 was considered as statistically significant.Results:1.The gender,age,course of disease,H-B facial nerve function grade beforetreatment,body function score and social function score in facial disability index were analyzed and compared between the two groups.The p value was greater than 0.05,indicating that the two groups of patients were comparable.2.We compared the function of H-B facial nerve between the two groups after treatment: After treatment,the functional classification of H-B facial nerve in the two groups was better than that before treatment(P<0.05);The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment of both groups was effective,but the effect of the treatment group with row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN was better than that of the control group;3.We compared the body function score and social function score in facial disability index between two groups after treatment: The scores of FDI somatic function and FDI social function in the two groups were better than those before treatment(P<0.05),which showed that both groups can have a better impact on the subjective aspects of patients;The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),which showed the therapeutic effect of row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN is better than that of conventional acupuncture.But there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05),which showed that there is no significant difference between the two treatment methods in the improvement of patients’ FDI social function score.4.We compared the overall efficacy of the two groups: In the treatment group,16 cases were cured,9 cases were significantly effective,4 cases were effective and 1case was ineffective.In the control group,10 cases were cured,7 cases were significantly effective,7 cases were effective,6 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 80%,which showed the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It is suggested that row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN is better than that of conventional acupuncture.Conclusion:The overall effect of the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis with row acupuncture at multiple groups of JINGJIN is significantly better than that of conventional acupuncture,which can effectively improve the recovery of facial nervefunction.This kind of treatment is economical,simple and effective,which is good for clinical application.
