Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Floating Needle Combined With Massage "Three Points Of Knee" On Patients With Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:Discuss the clinical effect of floating needle and massage “three points of knee” in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA),and make a preliminary true and objective evaluation of its efficacy and safety in clinical,in order to provide new treatment ideas and methods for knee osteoarthritis.Methods:From May 2019 to January 2020,60 patients with knee osteoarthritis in the outpatient and ward of the second affiliated hospital of Tianjin university of traditional Chinese medicine were selected as the subjects.they were divided into control group(n=30)and treatment group(n=30)according to the random digital table method.The control group was treated with massage“three points of knee”,the treatment group was treated with floating needle on the basis of the control group,and the effect of treatment was evaluated after 4 weeks.Visual analogue pain(VAS)scale was used to assess pain in both groups;knee joint osteoarthritis self-rating scale(WOMAC)was used to assess knee joint function(including: pain,stiffness,function);and two groups were recorded patient adverse event occurrence to assess safety.Once a day,4 days after continuous treatment,3 days rest,8 treatment as a course of treatment,a total of 2 courses of treatment(total 4 weeks),4 weeks after the patient’s recent treatment results were evaluated.The effective rate,VAS score,WOMAC score and adverse events of the patients were compared through the medical statistical analysis and treatment of the data after the complete recording of each observation index score.Results:(1)There was no significant difference in the basic data(sex,age,BMI value,X grade,lesion location,course of disease,history,VAS score,WOMAC score,etc.)between the two groups(P<0.05).(2)After 4 weeks of treatment,the effective rate in the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).(3)The VAS scores of 14 weeks after treatment in the two groups were lower than thosebefore treatment(P<0.05);the VAS scores of 1 4 weeks after treatment in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).(4)The scores of pain,stiffness,function and WOMAC in the treatment group were lower than those in the treatment group at 4 weeks after treatment(P<0.05).The WOMAC scores and total scores in the treatment group and the control group were lower than those in the control group after treatment.(5)There were 3 secondary adverse events in the treatment group(1 obvious pain and acid distention in 2 patients,1 small redness and swelling in 1 patient after acupuncture),the remaining 27 patients had no adverse events,no adverse events in the control group and no safety events(i.e.three or more adverse events).Conclusion:(1)The floating needle combined with massage “knee three points”and single massage“knee three points” can obtain higher short-term curative effect in patients with knee osteoarthritis,which is helpful to relieve pain,relieve stiffness and improve knee joint function.(2)The short-term clinical effect of floating needle combined with massage “three points of knee” is better than that of massage “three points of knee” in the short-term effective rate,relieving pain,relieving stiffness and improving knee function.(3)The floating needle combined with massage "three points of knee" can relieve pain,relieve stiffness,improve joint activity and stability of patients,and the safety is high.
