In recent years, cultural linguistics has become a leading area in the study of Russian Language and Culture.Meanwhile, the linguistic picture of the world constitutes one of the most important problems in the study of the Russian Language and Culture Studies. Moreover,as main component units of the Russian Language World Vision, such key concepts as "conscience","soul","friendship",etc.,have become "hot spots" in the study of Russian cultural studies. However, the concept of"loven",which is also one of the key concepts in the Russian Language World Vision,is still poorly known both in Russia and in China. Therefore,a multidimensional analysis of the concept of "love" in Russian Language World Vision is more important. The novelty of our study not only lies in the multifaceted approaches to the study of the concept of "love" in Russian Language World Vision, further development of methods of research on the concept,i.e.to promote to form system methodology of conceptual analysis, but also in the simultaneously combined analysis with diachronic, and in attracting Russian customs and traditions to study on the concept. The theoretical significance of our thesis due to its novelty lies in the fact that a multidimensional analysis of the concept of "love" in Russian Language World Vision, including a comparative analysis of the concept of "love" in Russian and Chinese Language World Visions,is useful not only for further development of the theory of Russian cultural studies,in particular, for the development of systematic techniques of conceptual analysis, but also to further enrich the theory of Comparative Linguistics in Russian and Chinese languages. The practical value of the dissertation is that the results can be used in teaching Russian language and culture,Russian cultural linguistics, translation activity,as well as in intercultural communication of Russian and Chinese people. The dissertation work consists of introduction,4 chapters, conclusion and list of references.By introducing the basic concepts such as "linguistics"," Language and Culture Studies","worldview","Language World Vision",Chapter One outlines the theoretical framework of the study, interprets the term "concept" and compares this concept with its related concepts. On this basis,Chapter One describes the current research methodology of the concept and identifies appropriate methods for the research of the concept "love" in this thesis.Chapter Two analyzes the definition of the concept "love" in various dictionaries, explains the concept of "love" in the analysis of the semantic space in the Orthodox Bible in Russian Proverbs and sayings,in order to conduct a synchronous mapping;in consideration of the concept of "love" in Russian customs and traditions,Chapter Two outlines the changes in Russian people's attitude to love and marriage, summarizes the influencing factors of formation of the concept "love" in Russian Language World Vision and conducts a diachronic comparison.Chapter Three first examines the concept of "hatred" in the Russian Language World Vision, and then compares the concept of "love" with the concept of "hatred"in the same semantic field of Russian Language World Vision to presumedly identify the concept of "love".Chapter Four compares the concept of "love" in Russian and Chinese Language World Visions, and on this basis reveals the divergence of the two Nations in spirituality and mentality. The conclusion of this thesis includes:1)In the Russian Language World Vision the concept of "love" can be described as follows:Love is connected to separation and thus enhances the desire to be together with your loved ones.Love causes suffering and the loving person is ready to make sacrifices for the beloved.Love is a conflicting emotion that on one hand brings pain and one the other hand gives strength to endure love.Love is blind--loved ones are always dignified in lovers' eyes.Love makes lovers happy and painful.2)In former days, and today, the majority of Russians appreciate love that occupies an important place in their soul.Even though love brings pain and anxiety, the Russians still believe that love is one of the most positive and uplifting human emotions.3)The Influencing factors in the formation of the concept "love" in Russian Language World Vision are religious,geographic,historical,economic,etc.4)In the Russian Language World Vision the concepts of "hatred" and "love" are interrelated with several units overlapped, but they have some differences. The concept of "love" has many external representations, while there is no obvious indicator that proves better hiding of the concept of "hatred" in the soul of Russians.Compared with the concept of "hatred",the "love" concept is characterized by a greater richness of content and description than the concept of "hatred" as the opposite of love is clearer and easier.5)The Concept of "love" in Russian and Chinese Language World Visions has different key concepts, different word-formation structures, and different semantic spaces. In addition, the concept of "love" in the mentality of the Russian people is characterized by its diversity and romanticism, while the concept of "love" in the mentality of the Chinese people is rather conservative.
