Analyzing The Story Structure Of Original Animation Films

In recent years,with the increasing popularity of animated films,more and more Chinese people are willing to buy tickets to go to the movie theater.Especially,for the animated film that creation independently.Those movies are mostly produced in the United States or Japan.However,there are very few original Chinese animated films.For this phenomenon,to explore the reasons,in addition to some inevitable historical and economic factors,the animated film original story in China does not get enough attention as other film storys,which is also one of the most important factors that contributes to the differences.The story as the most basic text in the process of film art production,for a long time to highlight its importance,and animation film as one of the important part of the importance of the story is self-evident.And the structure is one of the most difficult parts in the creation of the story,but the study of the story structure is very few in the country,let alone the study of the structure of the original story,so at the critical period of Chinese animation,the story structure research is very important.This study is divided into four parts to analyze the story structure.The first part is the introduction that elaborate the background and purpose of the original animated film.Secondly,it will have a literature review on present situation of animation research.At present,the research of animation in China can be divided into four different research directions.And then elaborate the scope and method of study.The study base on Robert McKee's drama structure,and the story structure of Field and Bower,to analyze the sample films.The second part is the analysis of the story structure,which is summarized in the introduction,and analyzes the structural elements and structural events of the research samples.Respectively,for the three sample works will be numbered way to sum up the table,and then its content of the background events,theme events,character events,the outcome of the event and the key events of the content analysis.In the third part,the difference between the structural elements and the structural events is analyzed for the analysis results of the second part.The results show that there is a significant difference between structural elements and structural events in China compared with US and Japanese.The fourth part concludes five points that aims at structure events and elements in drama's structure creation from the previous analysis of differences.It puts forward creative suggestion on background event,theme event and outcome event in the structure study table to provide reference for theChinese creators of original animation film's story and the future of those who are interested in writing the story.Finally,from this analysis,there were some revelations that can be used to inspire current and future Chinese screenwriters.
