Traditional straw handicrafts are created by our working people for thousands of years of production and life.They are also used as a material carrier to meet the needs of popular culture in order to meet the functions of daily life.Handicrafts occupy an important position.Laizhou as one of China's traditional straw handicrafts one of the main producing areas,with a long history of technology,straw raw materials rich and weaving technology,and many other advantages.In recent years,a single category,the lack of innovation and other issues greatly hampered the development of Laizhou straw.On the basis of consulting a large number of literature materials and field investigation,the author discusses the difference and connection between the traditional straw handicrafts and modern design products,combined with the design practice work including the series of straw material processing,Straw products application experiments,straw products design new methods,the traditional straw handicrafts in the shape,color,quality three aspects of the design practice.The purpose of this design practice is to change the form of traditional straw raw materials,and to provide a feasible reference for the development and inheritance of the traditional straw-making process so as to meet the needs of modern social life and have better market prospects.This paper is divided into five chapters on the traditional straw handicrafts for a comprehensive study and innovative design practice.In the second chapter,the author takes Laizhou straw as an example to carry on the investigation to the present situation,the production pattern and the development present situation of the straw processing factory in the first chapter mainly carries on the outline to the traditional straw craft,carries on the elaboration to its development history,the craft skill and the artistic characteristic separately The third chapter,the author combines the domestic and foreign straw products examples,specific from the process characteristics,category series,production processes and brand marketing in four aspects of specific physical analysis and comparison;the fourth chapter,for the traditional straw handicrafts characteristics and This paper makes a bold and innovative practice on the material,color,pattern and shape of traditional straw handicrafts,and puts forward feasible suggestions for the development of traditional straw handicrafts through innovation and practice.In the fifth chapter,The results of the innovation and practice were summarized and the whole paper was summarized.
