This report is a practice report on simulated C-E consecutive interpretation on dealing with crop straw in Jilin province. This material can be divided into four parts, that is,basic information of crop straw, striking problems in using crop straw,a few suggestions, and comparison with developed countries in dealing with crop straw. This practice report mainly studies information asymmetry between source language and target language during interpreting.Information asymmetry refers to the non-equivalent meaning between source language and target language.100% equivalence is impossible in interpreting, but reducing the meaning difference as much as possible(Eugene Nida)can achieve a high-degree similarities.By analyzing this interpreting practice, the author finds out three reasons that lead to information asymmetry, respectively failure in selecting appropriate words, failure in catching subjects in long sentences and cultural obstacles.Regarding to the different reasons resulting in information asymmetry, the author puts forward the corresponding solutions:understanding the meaning of the words in specific context, clipping long sentences, using passive voice and explaining cultural factors in interpreting. The report lays stress on the causes and corresponding solutions to the information asymmetry.A conclusion is made to improve the information asymmetry. In addition, the author hopes the report can provide useful and valuable reference for others.
