Zhongyong thinking mode is a "holding two sides and taking the middle rode"thinking.From the perspective of problem solving,it contains the "integrated thinking"and "eclectic thinking" two levels.This study through three experiments to explore the mechanisms of two levels of Zhongyong thinking mode on creative ideas generation and its neural basis.In experiment 1 and experiment 2,167 and 85 undergraduates and graduate students were respectively selected as subjects.Their integrated thinking and eclectic thinking were initiated by self-made situational problems.After that,they were asked to complete different creative ideas generated task.The results of experiment 1 showe that,compared with the control group,the integrated thinking improve the remote association test(RAT),and the eclectic thinking doesn't show any effect.In riddels(insight problems)and divergent thinking test(AUT),two levels of the Zhongyong thinking mode have no significant effect.Experiment 2 used the creative problem-solving test based on the information integration paradigm(Zhang Qinglin,2015),and the results showe that the Zhongyong thinking mode doesn't affect the creative problem solving.Experiment 3 further examined the neurophysiological mechanisms of the Zhongyong thinking mode on RAT test.EEG frequency analysis and coherence analysis were used to explore the brain energy during the process of Zhongyong thinking mode and remote association,and the common activities between different brain regions.The results of the 24 subjects further validate that the integrated thinking has a positive effect on the creative ideas generation in RAT.EEG data showe that:(1)when the eclectic thinking is started,the power of the 0 and a of the brain is significantly higher than that of the integrated thinking.Moreover,in the frontal temporal region of the brain,the coherence level of a2 wave and ?1 of eclectic thinking and integration thinking is different in the coherent brain region,that is,their cooperative working mode is different.This shows that Zhongyong thinking mode indeed includes two levels.(2)The neural basis of integrated thinking's positive effect on RAT was mainly reflected in the coherence level 's difference of different brain frontal temporal region.For the ?2,the coherence level of F8-T8?F7-T7 is higher than that of F8-TP8?F7-TP7?F6-TP8?F5-TP7?F6-T8?F5-T7?F4-T8?F3-T7?AF4-T8?AF3-T7,the coherence level of F8-FT8?F7-FT7 is higher than that of AF8-FT8?AF7-FT7.For the ?1,the coherence level of F8-T8?F7-T7 is lower than that of F6-FT8?F5-FT7?AF8-FT8?AF7-FT7,the coherence level of F4-FT8?F3-FT7 is higher than that of AF4-TP8?AF3-TP7?AF4-T8?AF3-T7,the coherence level of AF4-T8?AF3-T7 is lower than that of AF4-FT8?AF3-FT8?...
